Coconuts — Restaurant in El Paso

What happened to the waitress Marisa??? The new waitress is louder than the speakers playing the jukebox. And she only thinks she's being attentive when she's really being rude, shouting at her customers. I would rather she turn up the music than to have to listen to her shouting at the people drinking. Get rid of that white girl and bring back Marisa. Marisa was cool and very good looking and polite. From my earlier post: Food is good. No mention of the great burgers at "Coconuts" here from the people who have written reviews. The burgers are very delicious and the price on their beers and food is very reasonable. Which makes this a great place. I forgot to mention the waitresses are also very deelish..., er, are all easy on the eyes, friendly and very attentive and they get your drinks right. Great sound too from their "juke box" when they crank it up. Nice place. Plenty of flat screen TVs to stare at. Recommend for when you want to get away from large crowds and heavy traffic. Parking is a little tight. A drawback or a plus is that it is right across the street from the EPPD station. Go. Relax. Eat....

Apparently recording the atmosphere and friends is a crime and laughing with friends is a crime. The white tall skinny bartender felt the need to tell us to stop recording or we will be removed from the premises as she did not even ask if she even came out the video. ( Which she obviously didn’t ), the service was very poor since we got there, she seemed as she was bothered when we showed up. Then ran to tell her manager we were laughing at “ her”. I’m sure the manager didn’t feel the need to say anything as she seemed pissed. Do better working in the bar industry, everyone records and laughs in there I’m sure but we do feel racially profiled as we’re just colored workers having lunch and...

The music is great drinks are well priced but for some reason they only have 1 bar tender. If you sit at the bar you'll get fast service but if you sit at a table shell take forever to come back with drinks or to check up on us. Not to mention when ordering food expect to wait over an hour even with a minimal amount of people at the bar. I waited an hour and a half to the point where my lunch was over and I was late. I had to walk to the bar to ask for it to go then another 15 or so for her to bring the check I just ended up waiting next to the bar for my card or I would've had to wait another 15....
