Me and my wife would wanting dessert after dinner and she mentioned this place. When she explained what this place was I definitely had no clue what I was getting into. Reading the reviews, I was thinking this would be a bad idea. I was wrong.
First, we went on a Saturday night around 6pm. Thinking it was gonna be busy I thought the wait time would be long. The seats were kind of filled up, 3 families in front of me. I only waited about 12 minutes from the time the money transaction was completed to the moment my name was called out to receive my cup. (I really did time this visit). Not bad timing in my opinion.
I got the Boy Scout. It was topped with Teddy Grahams, roasted marshmallow and chocolate syrup. For me, that was a perfect combination. One con would be the gummy texture of the ice cream itself. Not a fan favorite. I was trying to figure out if it was just the way it is or the process in which the ice cream is made when ordered.
Another con would be the cleaniness of the shop. It really wasn't that busy and they had someone going around wiping off tables which was a plus but the same female wiped off the front door window a few times ignoring the fact that the napkins needed refilling. After about 10 min my wife asked about the napkins because we needed some and so did other people we noticed and was told someone was working on it. Another 5 minutes passed and finally it was done. Overall I would come back for a little dessert but some things do need to be addressed...
Read moreUnfortunately like so many other places here in El Paso, Fahrenheit 32's are understaffed and lack the training needed to provide an excellent customer service experience. The long wait, for me, was not the worst part of our visit. You could clearly see the lack of care in the employees and more importantly, the management/owners. These 3 employees were SLAMMED.... so so many people and they looked defeated. I seriously thought one of them was going to quit on the spot. Everything about all of them showed they didn't want to be there. No smiles, no courtesy when interacting with customers, and no real effort put into the rolls. I might have thought that the staff here just lacked training but because I've experienced this same thing at the west side location, I understand now that the owners don't take the time needed to take care of their employees and provide a great product for their paying customers. We will no longer give our money to a business that doesn't value the whole reason they are a profitable business to begin with. Hopefully...
Read moreWalked in and the cashier advised us of a 45 minute wait! All 4 machines were working with 4 employees working each station. I questioned the wait time because I had previously been there and it was 3x as packed with the same amount of employees working, yet we didn't wait 45 minutes nor were we advised of such a wait. Idk if it was some type of tactic used to scare customers away, or what the issue was but it seemed like there wasn't a clear cut explanation as to why there was a 45min wait. So we drive to the west side location and as we are ordering we were advised they ran out of mix so there was not any vanilla or chocolate? Really? I'm sure Dairy Queen never runs out of ice cream At a ice cream Parlor, just seem like these employees can't Handle the rush or don't want to, either way it's bad...
