Marshalls — Local services in El Paso

I honestly love Marshall's and shop at this location pretty frequently. Every time i go i get the worst customer service. I blow it off because for the most part I get what I needed or more and leave. But today I had the worst experience. The cashiers are are rude and when there is a long line employees just stand around talking. Today I had a return which I never do. My receipt for a 163.00 purchase. They wanted to fight me for a 16.99 shirt. They lady told me that the shirt I purchased was not on the receipt and that they do not carry the shirt. I showed her where on the receipt the shirt was. And waited for 35 mins. I know it was 35 minutes because I had my brother on the phone. It was extremely upsetting 3 different employees just talked and laughed while I was waiting in a long line full of people. The lady insisted I did not purchase that shirt there and i lying At the end they did refund me for the shirt. I took my receipt and blouse to another location and completely different experience. On February 27, 2018, I was in Marshall's shopping. On the way to check out, a Police Officer approached me and told me to put my hands behind my back. I asked why and was told I was being detained, I was detained for 5 hours. I later found out that the Marshall's Manager had profiled me as a suspected peeping tom that was on the news. I was told that the employees are afraid of black males who wear baseball caps. The suspect and I look nothing alike, he is 50 lbs heavier and muscular, the only think we have in common is that we are both male and black. My wife just retired from the military after serving 20 years. We have been shopping at Marshall's since the 90's and I have a credit card with them. Not once have I received an apology from anyone. Corporate does not respond to any of my calls. Love this store! It’s always well stocked and organized. They have a great selection of home goods too. The only thing is their phone number is not setup! I tried calling the store to ask about a table but the call always hangs up when I try to speak to a customer representative. I even called a different Marshall’s in El Paso to see if they could connect me to the one on Joe Battle through a different number, but...
