The price for the buffet was pretty good $ 1399 and 275 for the lemonade. The soup was cold the ribs were at room temperature the chicken wings were very greasy and cold the noodles were greasy and cold also I asked the waiter if he could somehow or another turn on the steamers cuz the food was cold and my wife refused to eat it cold or just warm 🥵 he went ahead and turned on the steamers they work really good cuz even though my wife decided not to try it again since it was full of oil I decided to try them out and the ribs were delicious the chicken wings had a real good taste and the fish was very tasty also. The bad thing about it is the owner or the cook came out and turned off the steamers again and by the time I finish what I had put in my plate I tried one item and for some reason another it was just warm. The owner came out and asked if everything was all right and I showed him the plate that my wife had not eaten and that he had turned off the steamers again and it was not at a temperature that food should be. He touched the aluminum pan and said that it was all right so I didn't argue with him paid for both our lunches and left. I would have still paid for both if he would have offered not to charge my wife since she didn't eat but I still got charged for both. If the food is kept it at a temperature that will not let the food spoil or make it taste greasy it is a nice place to eat with tasty food while it's hot not at...
Read moreI was super excited to try this place, as it's pretty much the only buffet on the west side of El Paso. Paid about 18$, which is a little more than usual but whatever, I don't mind it. What I did mind was the fact that every food I tried (apart from the mushrooms that had JUST come out of the kitchen) was cold, mushy, or overcooked in a confusing way. The fried dumplings? Room temperature. The chicken with veggies came with soggy zucchini and the chicken was rubbery. The chicken to go with the sweet and sour sauce was dry and hard. I tried the fried rice, thinking 'no one can mess up fried rice' and boy was I wrong. I even tried some of the whole shrimp and couldn't even peel the shell off of them. The only edible and enjoyable thing I could find was the egg drop soup, but after the other food (and getting mild food poisoning a few hours later) I wouldn't even trust that in the future. The service was great, the ladies at the counter were super nice and we had a little conversation, and the waitress that removed plates was very kind as well. For 10$ more, I can go two doors down to the all you can eat place, and enjoy the same food at a fantastic quality and it's hot and fresh. Really disappointed, and I hope that no one gets seriously ill from...
Read moreSo even though we read the reviews before going including the bad ones we decided to still give it a chance. When we walked in, the man at the counter didn't even greet us. He immediately just said if it was for two. We paid and sat down. The food was OK. But Definitely NOT at the temp it should of been. Room temperature on everything except maybe the rice. And then they had dishes that weren't properly sitting in the hot wells(I worked in the restaurant business for over 10 yrs) that's a health code violation. And I don't want to play the racist card(my husband is black)but we couldn't help but notice that even though they were not busy at all, they did not come check on our table not once. They checked everyone else and offered refills but not to us. I kept sipping my empty cup to get their attention and even placed my cup at the edge to let them know I needed a refill but they didn't come. They said bye to everyone. I told my husband watch them not say bye as we leave and sure enough we are leaving and the 2 employees that were there ignored us as we left. Really disappointed. Will not be returning to this...
