Gorditas Tony's — Restaurant in El Paso

For our first time it was okay. The atmosphere was quiet no music. No greetings. The lady taking orders and taking payments was no chatter for sure. She didnt even ask what can I get for you? She just waited for me to say something. Which we got 1barbacoa, 1 desebrada en rojo, 2mole, and 2 bean and cheese. The barbacoa came with no salsa,onion,cilantro nor did they ask if we would like some. We didnt ask because we were hungry and just accepted our fate. The mole was on point super good. The bean and cheese has a jalapeño salsa and they refry the beans in that salsa. Sounds great to me BUT I got this option for my 3yr and 1yr not aware of this fact. They only have breakfast options with no chile. Every other lunch option has chile. Best option was mole/barbacoa for kids lunch. The desebrada en rojo was good but like other reviews it has potatoes in it. The cook needs to make potatoes and meat ratio consistent and balanced. I felt like I was eating potatoes en rojo. It also has pieces of jalapeño and tomatoes and onions. So it felt vegeterian to me lmao!🤣 We came because we are near by for a softball tournament. Online reviews state they serve burritos but they dont according to the lady nor the quesdaillas sooo idk what happened there. Overall we spent like 40 dlls with 5 drinks. No agua fresca served here and they only had Coke can, Coke zero, Mexican bottle Coke,Coke in a plastic bottle,Sprite can,Sprite bottle, Lipton tea peach, Lipton tea light, bottled water, Manzanita Sol can. We were hoping for lemonade or some other kind of drinks beside soda. We arent big on tea so that...

The red salsa meal was good, more spicy than expected. The beef and potatoes were NOT good. It lacked flavor (in comparison to the red sauce meat), and the potatoes in the meat were NOT fully cooked. It was hard to enjoy the meal. This is perhaps a one day situation; this was, unfortunately, our experience. I am sure that if we return, the experience might be better. Other people in the establishment seemed to be enjoying their food. But, as I saw prior to purchasing, most had the red sauce meat or a meat with color aka flavor (NOT the BEEF w/ POTATOES we purchased). Last, the fact that straws are not available was a disappointment. Not everyone likes to put their lips on a can that is perhaps not clean. Moreover, there are no cups available to drink our coke or whatever beverage, forcing you to trust the container you drinks come inside of.

On a positive note, the food was served rather quickly, and there were tables available. This was around 1200, no crazy crowds, etc. The prices are also very reasonable!! It is a place worth visiting, you just have to know what to order. There seems to be a decent selection, as you will see...

Food great, clean. Ladies opening the restaurant are rude and angry for having customers at the door. I was the first to order today. When paying for my order the lady cashiering was commenting that the lady waiting in the drive through outside since 7:30 was crazy, that she should've gone to another restaurant. She said it in a loud voice, telling me at the same time. I took a seat and waited for my order. When i got it, she repeated the order. I said thank you… when i get home, my wife gets angry because I'm missing one Gordita and it’s the baby’s gordita. I tried calling, but it was busy. I drive a good 15 minutes to get there.
