House of Taste Pizzeria and More We Deliver — Restaurant in El Paso

We saw this restaurant pop up on Door Dash recently and tonight decided to give it a go. We ordered at just before 5pm, and the food arrived about 50 minutes later. For DD delivering from a place a few miles away, Overall, it was pretty good! I would definitely order from them again. Now, on to details:

We ordered a 16" with pepperoni, beef, and mushroom. Starting from the bottom up, the crust was great! Thin and crispy, and stayed that way even after losing some heat (some thin crusts get tough and chewy when they cool down), and the outer edge was cooked to perfection. The toppings appeared fresh and were generous enough, dispersed to create a very nice looking pie when we opened the box. And there was plenty of cheese!! Plenty of cheese on pizza is the way to go, in my opinion.

So with all this positivity, why the 4 stars, right? Well, because 4.5 isn't available. The biggest complaint we had was the pizza was very light on sauce, probably the most topping on a pizza. It was so light I even went back to the DD app to see if I had to add it from the ingredients, but I didn't. It was just really skimped on. Such a shame, too. With the right amount of a good sauce, this place could be a contender for one of the best...

This place has really nice staff, and that is a redeeming quality. I tried the food at this place on two different occasions. The first time I had lasagna and salad and the second time I have just a large pepperoni pizza. The lasagna was just OK and the salad was pretty good, but the experience I had with the pizza was not good. I ordered a simple large pepperoni pizza hour and a half before closing time. Upon pick up it seemed evident that the pizza had been reheated. It was very easy to see the burnt cheese mixed in with the fresh cheese and the crust was extremely extremely hard! The experience with the pizza made me feel like I got somebody’s leftover order that they did not pick up. There is no way that this pizza was fresh, and It’s like a 30 minute wait, and an $11 price tag. Since I believe in local business I’ll give them an opportunity to make it right, but disappointed. 🙁

Update: I reached out to the manager, who called me right back. He made it right by remaking the pizza, and throwing in extras. Integrity count for a lot with me, so this place will get my business again and my rating is...

First time i order the pizza was very dry and bread sticks were not flavorful at allcbut i dident see it so i dident put it in my call whrn i call up therre the spquetti needs more sauce just rifht amount not to muchcnot less mones was to less and.needs more flavor .overall it was ok .and pretty tasty shen you dont.have nothing eat .. At home. We order becsuse they are cheap and .theycdid helpvme out withcmy order. They remade it tocperfection .ehen ictold themcdetails because i myself workcfor pizza chains like jonny carnios and. Ihop and whaterburger so. I have chief eye .thst normal customoer cant see please dont leave pizzas in there to. Long and keep old sausages out of pixxa are burned sauge please .. And put more.
