IHOP — Restaurant in El Paso

I see so many mixed reviews about this place, well at least this location anyway. So obviously it just depends on what day and time you come here.

I’ve been here when it was busy and packed for Sunday breakfast and been here late at night after bars are closing. It can be a busy location for sure.

I probably come here once every 2 months and unfortunately I’ve never seen the same staff. I can understand why turn overs may be high. And these days it’s hard to find good help. Also it’s IHOP. Not fine dining. But that’s no excuse for bad service or bad food.

With that said, I’ve been lucky enough to never have a problem at this IHOP. Other than the occasional wait because they’re busy and short staffed.

After so many visits I’ve decided to do my review on this place tonight, Sunday night, 12 midnight: Not busy at all 7 tables going and 2 wait staff (and one of them looks like the manager, who’s training the other girl).

Despite running around doing several jobs the manager took my order and still managed to be pleasant and fast.

Food came out as expected. No complaints and was actually pretty fast. Place was as clean as a 24 hour diner with 2 people working the floor could be.

Music loud enough to drown out other people’s conversations (pop/easy listening). Comfortable temperature. Definitely plenty of parking.

I don’t expect a whole lot from IHOP, but that’s just me. So far it’s one of my go to late night sit down food places. Overall a good experience as far as I’m concerned. Will be back again next month when I’m craving bacon, eggs and cheesecake...

This was Wednesday morning around 7:10 -7:55, Food was good ,the music does not... fit the atmosphere in the morning ... at all,there some employeez that have a respectable joyful attitude but some employes act like if its grandma's Kitchen ,but not in a hopsitaly way . And for some reason the young man who was cleaning the rest rooms was using the wrong cleaning chemicals,and for some reason he would use ( window cleaner ) to clean the toilet , and also not using the right cleansing tools ,he would use the paper towels from the dispenser bathroom.Those were the only thing he was using just the clean the whole bathroom !!!! . I believe that's not sanitary And that's not all the employee's fault, but the manager most of all he should be supplying the right equipment for his employees!!!! And they also take long just to make the food and that's not there busy hours ,and its was only the 4 of us that were there we didn't ordered a lot of things . There's some tweaking that not the manager should make ,but the Board of directors should execute. And the reason why this place still has a high 4 star reviews ; it's a bunch of hoodlums that give them the the higher rating . THIS restaurant has a lot of great potential ,but it should not be put to waste, still has a firm foundation, but it should not be...

I went to this IHOP location after church today at about 12-12:30pm. I ordered on the app for pick up. I went to the check in counter to ask for my pick up order and was greeted or actually not greeted by an extremely rude lady. The staff‘s attitude got even worse after there was a mix up with the pick up name. I told her my name without realizing that we had used my son’s account to order. I showed her the order confirmation on my app, however the lady treated me so rudely accusing me of wanting to steal the food in front of everyone instead of first trying to figure out what’s going on. After I figured it out and got the confirmation code from my son she still didn’t change her rude and unwelcoming attitude. She just put the food on the counter not even handing it to me. This service is unacceptable especially for staff giving a first impression of an establishment at the welcome desk. Once I got home I saw there were no utensils, butter, and syrup included.
