I've been a customer of JJs for 15 years! My favorite plate is the gordita family platter. I have ordered it for home dinners, partys and for my employees. I have always received the gordita family platter with all the ingredients on the side. I have never had to ask for them to separate the vegetables and or cheese. Today for the first time my order was delivered with all 12 gorditas packed with tomatoe, lettuce and cheese! I though maybe they made a mistake. So i called. No , basically from the beginning this person by the name of Maria said I was wrong, he said it was Ubers fault , he said it was my fault! I explained that for a large platter it didnt make sense to have them prepared at the restaurant because of travel time and all ingredients would make the gordita soggy. I was polite but Maria didnt let me speak and she denied any resolution but to wait a week till the manager is back from vacation. What a disappointment and I feel sadden I will never go back to Jjs and most definitely will not recommend them. One of my kids cant eat tomatoes and the other one is allergic to cheese! That I cannot change, but this order could have been redone correctly and deliverd to me again. I would have paid for it. But no, Maria decided to blame me and uber. I hope this review helps customers specify their family pack orders. Thank you for allowing me to...
Read moreFood good, prices fair, wait staff leaves ALOT to be desired. When we arrived for dinner the waitress was rude and advised us they would be closing in 20 mins and we should take our food to go. I told her no, we are eating here thank you. She became upset and tteated my family and I very poorly. Later i brought it to the attention of the manager "Oscar" who was quick to apologize and told us not to rush and to enjoy our dinner. For the remainder of our tine there he personally waited on us. He was sure to make our visit pleasant. Even the cook was very nice and took great care in preparing our food even though it was close to closing time. Clearly the only problem was the waitress ( I've visited a few times and most of the waitresses are rude) . If they were to change their wait staff, i would no doubt give them...
Read moreWell, I'm happy to say that the gorditas are still good, although the meat filling was not as much as before. Unfortunately, the enchiladas which used to be outstanding, were a huge disappointment. In an attempt to have enough chile sauce, it looked like the chile was spooned over the enchiladas. Oh, and let's not forget the complimentary tostadas. They tasted like they were old and fried in old oil; oil that was used to fry other food. Even the waitress agreed, when I asked her to taste one. The beans and rice did not have much flavor, so they were below average. I'm glad for the owner's sake that he survived the pandemic and I'm sure his regular customers helped in keeping the restaurant from closing its doors. But hopefully the owner will take note and work on those...
