This is the absolute worst Jason's deli I have ever visited. What a joke! If I could give -5 stars, I would. The portion sizes have decreased while the prices have increased. I ordered a Beefeater and it was the smallest beefeater that I have ever seen. Pictures are attached. I went to the person at the end who was standing there (heavyset guy, black hair, black glasses with a hat placed backwards) and asked why it was so small and he told me that I had half a beefeater and not the whole sandwich. No kidding, I know what I ordered. Why was the half beefeater so small? He said it is portioned that way. I was not happy. Then I went back because there was no mayo on it and asked to speak to the manager. I had the awful pleasure of talking to Alex, who said, "that white stuff is mayo." There was no mayo on the beefeater and what he was pointing to was where the bread was soft from the hot roast beef touching it. I was so insulted that he was so uncaring that I told him I wanted my money back. He first laughed at me and then he told me, "you already ate half of it". Oh I'm sorry Alex, I took 2 bites but I can see how you would think I ate almost all of it because of the small size of the sandwich. I could not believe it, I still can't. I told him he was going to get my money back or I was going to call one of the owners in Beaumont, Tx. Now I know that this is a franchise and the reason I know this is because I worked as a GM for Jason's Deli for 5 years 23 to 28 years ago until I moved into the hospitality field. I know how a beefeater is prepared and made many of them in the past. My partner had a 1/4 muffaletta special and it was just as awful. Pictures below as well. I wanted my money back and was given money back for the sandwich and the one trip salad bar that I ordered. I did not want money back for something that I was going to eat. But Alex refunded it anyway, Weird. Then to top it all off, a girl with glasses comes to the table to ask how are things. I told her what happened and showed her an advertised picture of the beefeater and what I received and she had the nerve to use the Covid Card and blamed it on Covid. Poor management all the way around. Associates that don't care and you could tell with only 4 tables eating in the whole place. This is what you get when you allow 20 something year old associates to run the place without experience. Alex needs to develop customer service skills and be compassionate as well as empathetic and humble. I will not ever go and willingly give my money to this sad excuse of a food establishment. If you want bad food, bad service and talk to people who do not care about you, this...
Read moreUsed to love their food and soups, but if you get there late or order late; don't expect good food.. especially soups. They mixed the days leftover chili with the chicken tortilla soup once. Disgusting. They are not the cleanest either and their breads are very hard, especially if you order they Doordash, like I usually used to do. I ate there a few weeks ago (ordered) some chicken pot pie soup and potato soup and a drink from this place called "One more sip" and I got good poisoning from one of them. I used to be a really, really good customer but after the chili mix up and I got sick on the separate incident; they lost a very, very good customer. Also their health grades are not that great. Found that out later from someone else that it was a C which, if true, is very bad for a deli. Fresh and healthy are what you want a deli to be. Also, don't ever, ever order the 7$ (on for dash) Cesar salad. It's so small daughter's rabbit could finish it in one sitting. Crazy overpriced too. Now that I'm reviewing it, I wonder why I kept ordering except I loved their tomato soup not with grilled cheese... Again, bread way way too hard to eat. Guess they expect you to soak it in the soup until it's cold until you can eat it. For the money, canned Campbell's soup and two pieces of stuff bread with a piece of cheese slightly melted would be the better option. No more though. I would definitely go somewhere else. You can eat at Olive Garden, etc...
Read moreJust went to Jason’s Deli for late lunch. My wife And I go there once a week at least. Today my wife decided to order the Chicken Panini sandwich with chips. The chicken meat was tough and a little dry. My wife ate only half of the sandwich, hoping it would only get better. I decided to inform the manager. If things are great we tell or tip someone. If things are otherwise, then we tell them also.
A manager, named Vanessa arrived and we described the sandwich to her. She asks my wife if my wife wants another half of the same sandwich. My wife replies by asking why she would want another of the same tough, dry meat. Vanessa replies by saying that the meat cannot be tough or dry since the chicken meat was recently removed from the steamer. So I asked if she had tasted the chicken and Vanessa replies that someone tastes the food that is prepared.
I was not seeking to get a free meal. My wife and I felt as if Vanessa the manager saw us such. We have been coming here weekly after eating in was allowed because of COVID 19. Up until now, Jason’s Deli was the best eating out experience. At no time did Vanessa attempt to make us feel better about the tough and dry chicken sandwich. If anything, the professionalism that I thought was a usual thing at Jason’s Deli, seemed to be...
