First time trying this place and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the taste of the tamales, they're not greasy at all, which I love. I tried the rojo and rajas (spicy!) The gordita de harina (flour) de chicharrón was delicious and savory. The corn gorditas de picadillo were very delicious (but very greasy) and the limonada is authentic and perfectly sweetened. 4.5 stars. Tip: calling your order in ahead of time helps speed up the process.

Today, I tried the green chile and cheese tamales, and they were delicious. They weren't ready yesterday, but we managed to catch them today. Of the three that I've tried, these would make me return. The red tamales and chicken tamales were okay but not enough to make me return. They were missing flavor and were a bit dry. The red one was missing the red chile sauce. The green chile and chicken were okay but a bit dry.

The food is on another planet. They got awesome prices for there food. I love the tamales con rajas c/queso. "They are the best." So if you are looking for some good Mexican food come out and try Jefita's Tamales.

Bad service they don't even have an announcement or anything telling you that you can't eat at the restaurant, they tell you once you get to the register after standing up in line for a while. So unorganized place bad management. Used to love to come and eat at this place after what happened to me today I don't plan on doing that no more, the girl at the register was even rude when I said it was going to be for there to eat in there. Never before I had experience anything like this at this place but it only takes one time for me to go through something like this so I won't go back. Had been craving it for a while and since I asked for the day off at work decided to take my mother with me so the two of us could enjoyed the tamales and other things we usually eat there. What a shame of place...

I've given this place a 1 star just because customer service was ok but to be honest and make people not waste their money here because I purchased today tamales and just by the taste of it I knew they are kept in the refrigerator and they just warm it up the bad thing is they still taste like when you keep something in the refrigerator for days and I also purchased a plate of enchiladas the enchiladas were SUPER salty I was looking for a new place I haven't tried and good based on the stars it had and the reviews that's why I decided to try this place but definitely not a good place to eat just the food is TERRIBLE and I hope this review really avoids someone else just wasting their money because definitely you will lose your appetite with the first bite you give to any of this...

My mom and I went there to buy some enchiladas and ate inside but.... My mom was kind of upset and told me that enchiladas are so oily and taste gross than before we used to go there in 2018 ... The last time we went there was in 2022-23 (unsure). So I stopped going there to buy some enchiladas and something else. Bean and rice oh my lord..... Tasted like EXPIRED and disgusting, gave me a bad stomach all day after we left there. Rice tasted sooooooo old I feel like they just warm it up then serve. I kept wondering why they changed now than before they tasted amazing to...
