Visited establishment March 2014
It is always a hit & miss when visiting these Vietnamese/Asian manicure locations (worldwide). I travel A LOT for work and Asian nail shops are everywhere. They are a go to when you need a quick in and out fix. 90% of this salons treat you like a production line item; walk in, sit, get fixed, out you go. No time for pampering or petty chit chat lol. You occasionally run into those that make an effort to learn the English language to be able to communicate with you and take care of you as a patron and then you have establishments such as Elegant Nails who couldn't care less who walks in through their doors.
They bring you in with an offer and once you are there they INSIST on up-selling their services starting with the most expensive on their menu list. If you say no, then they offer you the next one down, if you refuse, they will continue offering you different services. In the middle of getting your nails done, they once again tried to offer one of their services, this time to do my eyebrows. I tend to maintain my eyebrows in pretty good clean shape so there was nothing to pluck. Utterly tactless.
The woman doing my nails brushed on layers and layers of gel causing it to peel off the very next day. I had to remove my hand right before she was ready to apply a fourth layer of color. YES, I did go back and demanded that someone who knew how to properly do shellac redo my manicure. Needless to say, they were not happy.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a loyal customer. Went every two weeks to get regular gels. I went last week to change out my color and one of the workers (tony) did my nails...where to begin...well he was extremely rough with me when he was removing my previous nail color. Cut 2 of my fingers...when I told him he was hurting me...he could care less...so whatever I got past that....I had specifically told him....please don't file my nails down to much. I want my nails to stay thick and not brittle....well he turned my nails into what felt like razor blades....so f* thin...he put the gel color on which was black (yes I chose black) and he made a smug comment..."That's a perfect color for valentine's day" and laughed...I dunno who is thinks he is but I definitely will not be back...please save your money. The Male manager there seemed like a big a**hat too. Laughing at my nails....I ended up having to cut my nails down to nothing and start all over again.. PLEASE GO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst visit today 09/28/19, did not get what I wanted at all. I asked for dip nails and ended up with gel! I repeatedly told them I did not want gel, I donāt care for gel I wanted dip. He didnāt really explain anything to me. When I pulled my hands back when I saw this liquid bottle and powder that wasnāt for dip , he gently took my hands and told me itās okay watch it will better, I been doing dip for long time, you would like it. I was upset the whole time. I wonāt be coming back. My left hand is bumpy because he forgot to put the glitter on my nails after they were done! He then just applied the glitter with the top coat for the gel on again. So my nails on my right is as it should be, but my left is looking rough. My nails overall look okay, but itās not what I wanted. If yāall donāt know how to do dip just donāt advertise for that kind of service. I will be back to have this fixed. If I didnāt get what I wanted at least do the gel...
