Date night with my beautiful wife. We arrived and immediately thought what a beautiful atmosphere. I loved the warriors in the front along with the other memorabilia. There was a live gentleman playing the piano which just added to the ambiance. Great start but it started to go downhill from there. We waited out front for about five minutes until the host greeted us. He took us to a nice booth and we really appreciate the nice linen napkins and tablecloths. The waitress came by and took our drink orders, Jasmine Tea with honey and a beer. The drinks came, without the honey, which we reminder our waitress about. She came back several minutes later, without the honey, and took our order. She answered some questions about the menu and we ordered the Empress Dinner. The dinner came with one appetizer, soup, three main dishes and desert. I reminded her about the honey and she promised to bring some. After several minutes I asked a different waiter for the honey. Finally our honey arrived so my wife could enjoy her hot tea. Our soup and egg roll arrived. The egg drop soup was excellent, with tiney chunks of meat in it. The egg roll was mushy in the middle and just average. Our wings, fried rice, broccoli and beef, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp arrived. Starting with the wings, that was the best dish of the night. We loved the crispy outside and juicy inside, this is a must order! Secondly, the broccoli beef in brown sauce was very tasty, the sauce was delicious. We also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken the crust on the chicken was nice and light and the sauce was thick and not too sweet. The shrimp dish was loaded with good sized shrimp in a nice sauce, but had way too many peppers. The ice cream for desert was pretty good. Overall the food was good, not great. The server was slow, inattentive and lacked at enthusiasm to help us. She had to be asked several times for honey, she didn't pre-bus the dirty dishes, she never came by to refill our waters without being asked. The restaurant was not busy and she only had 3 tables she was working. I loved the wings, but I'm not sure we would every go back.

The ambience is nice - set up is for fine dining. The food was below average. We ordered the Emperor Dinner set costing $21.00 per person. The appetizer - 3 dishes - 2 x over breaded prawn, some barbeque pork (Cha siew), and 2 x meat dumpling. The next dish - the soup tasty like instant egg drop with the small pieces of noodles. The entree consisted of 4 dishes. The BBQ rice was not well cooked and the white rice was very prominent. The cauliflower and broccoli was under cooked and the sweet and sour pork was cold and hard. The chocolate and green tea ice cream tasty like those from Walmart tub ice cream. Jasmine tea and sweet tea tasted delicious. The restaurant provides ketchup, and wasabi, but charges for any other sauce. The bill showed a $2.67 charge for siratcha spicy sauce. The waiter was polite but he spend more time at other tables who spoke Spanish more than my table due to his lack of English proficiency. The food does not justify the price, and l expected a higher level of service at a fine dining restaurant. I will not patronize this restaurant again.

Went there for dinner. Had to wait at front till someone came to show us to a table. Staff was friendly and the menu is extensive. We ordered Mandarin duck and Cantonese duck. Told it would be 25 minute wait on duck entree, that's fine. We had appetizers and drinks while we waited. When food was ready, it was the wrong dish, not Mandarin duck, but duck with mushrooms. That dish was more expensive than what I had ordered. They knew it was wrong item and still served it, we had to tell them it was wrong and they blame it on their cook. We were told it would be another 25 minutes to cook correct dish. We said we're not waiting another half hour for them to cook the correct dish. We ate some of the mushroom dish and it was very sweet and too much sauce drowning duck meat. So I only ate small portion of it and most of rice instead. Very disappointing and Cantonese duck claimed to come with rice pancakes. They were rice tortillas?! Complained to management and were still charged for more expensive wrong dish. We got our lemonades free, big deal! Never going back there.

I really liked this place the first time I went, so I decided to have my birthday dinner here, well I had the worst experience with the owner/manager who ever that man was. I did my reservation on the website, there’s a section where you could get an entire room for big parties, it says clearly on the website that the minimum amount of people was 20, and I reserved the room for 20 people, or that’s what I thought. The day of my birthday dinner I called just to double check everything was fine, the lady couldn’t really help so I was supposed to get a call back from her which I never did. When I arrived they had my sitting area for 20 people but it was 2 separate tables, I told them that that was not what I reserved and there was no way I was putting my family in 2 separate tables, the host double checked and she said she could put the tables together but I would had to wait, which didn’t really resolved the issue because I wanted the room. Then she proceeds to tell me they don’t rent the room for specific people, they reserve it if the bill is over 600 dlls, which with 20 people for my reservation I didn’t see any issues, she went and check with the manager. I guess this man couldn’t understand my concern so he came and talked to me personally. This man showed me the reservation and told me that I never called to double check on the reservation which I don’t see why I had to that, but I told him I did and I was supposed to get a call back that I never did, then he proceeds to tell me that the receptionist gave him the wrong number, which I didn’t see why that was my problem, I asked about the room, and he said that for that room we had to be 40 people minimum, when the website doesn’t say such thing, and the hostess had already told me it was 600.00 minimum consumption, the gets very upset and starts treating the hostess very rude in front of everyone there, asking her why would she tell me that, when HE was the one who told her to tell me that, this man wanted to blame everyone for his poor organization, even the website for not giving enough specifications about the room reservation. The only thing he did was to put the tables together, but he never came back to apologize or to accept that they messed up, he doesn’t take blame and wants to blame everyone else. He doesn’t treat his employees with respect and he is very rude. This place is nice, has good food and the stuff is very nice, the owner/manager made my experience horrible and I will never go back, we wanted to leave but I had over 20 people waiting for a table so I had no choice but I will not come again. If you have a big party don’t...

Absolutely disappointing. I was thrilled to bring my family here because I was used to the food Shangrila had which was fine Chinese dining in Juarez. I guess Mr. Wongs son brought it to the states and tried to establish a name from that good heritage however they are completely different. The concept is similar but it is clear that he is saving every penny by poor quality food and service. You can sense that cheap feeling once the server brings your soft drink in a bottle and says "no refills". How cheap is that?! We got passed that and waited anxiously for our food but it was far from that food we once loved. The kids looked in disgust to what was supposed to be sweet and sour chicken, it looked like Kentucky fried chicken after its been in the fridge for a week. The chicken was hard, full of fat, black in some parts and just awful! The noodles had no taste, just bland. The rice was like mush, and had no taste. To top it off we asked the server if we could get the manager and told her kindly that it had nothing to do with her and that she had been very kind however she gave us the finger and took it against us. Never going there again! I do not know why people prefer to sell disgusting food and provide unprofessional service just to save a penny. It says a lot about the owner. Take a note from good restaurants and invest a bit because you never know who's going to be sitting in your restaurant, in this instance my husband who clearly they had no idea who he was...never judge a book by...
