I never use GrubHub, and I had never ordered from this restaurant before, but being stuck on an unfamiliar base on Thanksgiving, I was hungry. At 1715 I called ahead to ensure they were open, and asked if they delivered to my location. They confirmed, so I placed my order and paid through the GrubHub app The pickup time was between 1815 and 1825. At 1830 I got concerned, and called the restaurant. I had to call four times to get an answer, and was immediately handed off to someone else, I asked them about my order that I placed through GrubHub, and she informed me that they will not deliver to base. I was appalled, but she said there was another Red Wok closer to base, and I must have called the wrong store. I double checked the order against the location I called, and it was correct so I called again, telling her that I could not come pick it up, due to being restricted to the base for training. She said to request a refund through the app. I hung up and attempted this but the app said I was not allowed a refund because the order had been made. Frustrated, I called a local friend who lives in the area to go pick up my food over an hour from her house. I called back once more and asked them to keep my order under the warmer. She then informed me that they never even made it. Since it was to be delivered to base, they just disregarded it and did not inform me. I was livid, but did not say anything. She pulled up the order and said it would be ready. I recieved my food at 2020. Upon opening, basically my entire order was wrong. No receipt, incorrect and soggy entrees, missing sides, and hair in my egg drop soup. Disgusting. I'm angry that I paid so much and waited so long for such a disservice, and so are the other four people that ate this food.

Read moreI don’t recommend this place to nobody we are currently going through a pandemic right? Who ever delivered the food, didn’t even ring the door bell! Leaving our food to be cold and my sauce was missing. I spoke to a Ms.Diana I didn’t like her attitude at all, or her “deliverance” I’m asking her simple questions and it’s more of her so talking over me. Just the way she responded overall.. then she does not know the exact refund policy. Not only that guys lol, they want the food back as well.which of course is not a problem but she couldn’t even offer the sauce? Lol. So be careful everything you eat here is fresh we wouldn’t want any cross contamination. I won’t be going here no more I will be keeping my business at Hunan palace.
Update : Called her back because we were waiting on the driver to pick the food back up. So we left it outside as she told us to. she had spoken with the owner, concerning the driver issue with not ringing the door bell. We went ahead and threw the food out because she said it was okay, and she apologized for the inconvenience.
ordered here Monday april 27th being that hunan was closed and still haven’t received my refund, being that I ordered a meal with regular fried rice. im allergic to shrimp fried rice, so I asked them with my meal of sesame chicken to do regular fried rice they send me plain rice, I could make that at home. It’s now Friday and she told me my refund will be here 3 business days. Hopefully they will contact me today not doing business here at all. 🥴 then the wait time, they tell you something else. It’s was like 1hr wait time, the lady on the phone tell me 30-40...
Read moreA friendly waitress welcomed me in this empty restaurant. I wasn't alone for long as a trail of hungry take-out customers blazed through the door past me. The waitress was able to list the various ingredients for dishes like Hunan versis Kung Pao. I was overjoyed with the Shrimp Egg Foo Yung that I ordered that came with a side of white or fried rice. But for $3.99 I added a side order of chow mein. The Egg Foo Yung was exquisitely prepared and had a very pleasing aroma. The patties were well defined in shape and were big and fluffy. They were cooked perfectly and had no burnt egg flavor. The brown sauce was delightful and had a beautiful flavor. It was with shrimp, peas and carrots. I was overjoyed and satisfied with one patty. The chow mein was more than a side dish. It had character and was cooked with shredded carrots and onions and green onions. Lastly, I ordered Cheesecake for dessert to take-out. It was a perfect New York Cheesecake. I was lucky enough to meet the Chef who has trained in Chinese Restaurants for most of his life. He is not Chinese but has elevated El Paso's bar to a very high level. This food is comparable to food ib Chinatown, San Francisco. The prices are fair and I will recommend this restaurant to all from Westside to Eastside, this restaurant is a winner and a must try; especially since Honey Walnut Prawns will soon be added to this menu. Thank you Annette, my server and Shon, the Chef and the young owner who set up the big...
