I recently visited the Papa John’s located on Mesa 79912 to address a concerning issue related to a DoorDash order for a customer named Valerie. This experience highlighted significant gaps in communication that not only affect customers but also impact delivery drivers who represent your brand.
Upon delivering the order, Valerie expressed her frustration and confusion. She had not placed an order through DoorDash and was unaware that her pizza would be delivered by a third-party service. This lack of clear communication led to her distress, placing me in an uncomfortable position. After discussing the matter with the manager (Woman with glasses&piercings) I learned that they believed Valerie had been informed about the use of DoorDash for her order. However, it was clear she had not received this crucial information. I shared my own previous experiences with similar issues at Pizza Hut, where customers were also misled about their orders being redirected to DoorDash. Unfortunately, my concerns were met with indifference.
It is imperative for Papa John’s to implement a more robust system of notification for customers regarding the use of third-party delivery services. A simple announcement during the ordering process—whether via the website, app, or at the point of sale—could prevent misunderstandings and enhance customer satisfaction. As delivery drivers, we often find ourselves on the front lines, and the lack of communication puts us at risk of confrontation with frustrated customers.
I urge Papa John’s to take these concerns seriously. Clear communication is vital not only for customer relations but also for the safety of delivery personnel. I hope to see improvements in this area to prevent similar situations in the future. Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreThe female was very short with me on the phone when I asked for curbside at the restaurant. I asked for seasoning packets and she said "yeah ok" and abruptly ended the call. Then she came out and gave the pizza and said "for next time, the pick up area is over there" as she pointed to the front of the restaurant. Last time I was here the guy working at the time told us to park on the side. If you don'twant to bring the pizza out to the side, don't have a sign on the window there telling customers to call the number for curbside. I didn't even get a greeting or any thank you. I didn't even get the seasoning I asked for. I do not appreciate the service I received from the female that was working at this location at 830pm on August 27, 2021. I can understand if you're having a bad day, but you don't give attitude to someone who is just trying to purchase a product and not giving you attitude. Not very professional. I can get food elsewhere and will not consider this location...
Read moreNever in my life have I ever gotten a pizza delivery to me so terribly!!! It’s actually outrageous how terrible this pizza was delivered! I called the manager and was informed DoorDash took care of this order. I was also informed that they will resend the pizza with another 30 min additional wait! To start with, the order was not done correctly. We were missing certain topping. Secondly, the pizza looks like somebody reached in and grabbed my pizza. From personal experience, I understand the struggle of working in customer service and I do not mean to add any additional stress to the delivery process. But this is beyond acceptable by any means! I cannot believe no refund was offered or discounted price for this inconvenience. If they are having such trouble with how they deliver their pizzas maybe consider parting ways...
