I had never explored this mall area, and was walking around to see what there was. After a long walk and fewer people around I found a food court. It seems pretty empty down this way (at least on a tuesday around lunch time) and i was interested in trying the chinese place. Carlos working at the sbarro noticed me and offered me a sample with a smile, however. It was a stuffed pizza sample, and was pretty decent. The chinese and tamale place nearby weren't doing any samples and the workers didn't even smile at me as i passed so i opted for getting something from sbarro since Carlos was so nice. Sbarro doesn't have my favorite pizza but its not too bad. I got a strombolli meal and it was $13 just for me before tip so it isnt super cheap for what it is. This isn't an opinion about this location specifically, that has been my universal experience of the food at sbarros from california to texas (i already knew it wasn't my favorite, and the quality was as i expected). But Carlos was pleasant and professional to me, so i chose it anyways. Sbarro, i hope you hire more people like Carlos. I also hope you either make it easier to get a lunch meal for under $10 or increase your recipe quality, as the state of the economy for your average customer either needs lower prices or better flavors (ideally both)....
Read moreI have always frequented this place for decades not only here but in other locations throughout the United States. I have never been met by such an uncouth employee ever. The sad truth about it is that the employee is actually a manager and that is absolutely unacceptable especially for the Sbarro brand that someone like that is the "face" of your company. They need to find someway to better properly vet their choices for managerial roles within their company. The food was also inadequate as the service. I placed an order on Door Dash But I had to cancel my order because it was taking more than 2 hours and I noticed that it kept switching drivers so I called Sbarro and tried to see what was happening but the girl that answered the phone hung up on me before I can finish what I was asking. I called back twice and she continued to hang up on me. Sbarro management really needs to consider who they hire because if they can't even answer simple questions on the phone and then continue to be rude , then I can only imagine what the food is like.
