Smalls Sliders — Restaurant in El Paso

I was surprised to find out this is a franchise (considering almost none of their disposables were branded) but made sense when we tasted the food. The burgers are dry and bland. Just meat, cheese and 1-2 pickles. If their “special sauce” was in there, it must of been misted. We see why they sell you more sauce and their queso - you’ll need it for the dryness. For the record, the burger was pink inside but pretty sure their meat blend is way off. Maybe an 85:15 which is not good for smash style burgers. You could tell the fries were the bits at the bottom of the fryer. The fries that still resembled the waffle were soggy and the rest were burnt bits. The order taker at the drive thru messed up our order and couldn’t correct it. She told us they would fix it at the window? The cashier was just as surprised as we were. Also, the order taker kept calling us “brother”, “boss”, “dude” etc which felt weird considering she was probably young enough to be my granddaughter. It wasn’t just a couple times either. The sliders, fries, sauce, and queso were really good. When we got there they told us it was a 10-15 minute wait for walk up and 30-45 minutes in the drive thru. This was almost 7 PM. We decided to park and walk up. It took about 30 minutes anyways. The patio was packed. The employees were super nice. The only down side was that they were out of all milkshakes and Dr.Pepper. That was pretty much everything we wanted beverage wise, so we just had to order different drinks. I think they were out of the queso cups. I saw them on TikTok and they were round enough to fit a slider in. They gave us clear cups that weren't as wide. I went to the opening of Smalls & waited in line for about an hour and a half. During the Opening, it was all about the "important" people who came. While us waiting in line waited even longer, they got to order their food first. It felt like us who waited and were excited were "in the way". It took longer for our order to be taken than it was to receive our food.

The food was AMAZING. The queso was creamy and had a kick. The burgers with bacon were tasty. The bacon was thick and crispy. The sauce was a little onion heavy but it was okay.
