I’m a picky eater, I am 27 years old and probably have the tastebuds of an average pre teenager. I have never tried Persian food in my entire life. So I begrudgingly get dragged along by my cousin to this Persian restaurant. I was not excited. But.. The moment I walk in i notice how absolutely gorgeous this place is. The walls are painted into murals and the tables are dressed in beautiful fabrics. The ambiance is wonderful. The staff was a friendly, seemingly close knit group of people. Not a frown to be seen. Very attentive and polite. I order the most familiar thing I can think of as a picky eater with immature tastebuds- a sandwich. They taught me how to pronounce “koobideh” and I got the chicken koobideh sandwich. Then it all went uphill from there! They bring me a plate that is so artistic looking, they took such care to make this a presentable plate of food, I almost didn’t want to ruin the masterpiece. And once I dug in to try it, although the spices and general flavors were unfamiliar to me, it was AMAZING. Literally changed my life. This is something I’m going to crave for the rest of my life, so I plan on coming here more often. Tasty Kabobs chicken Koobideh sandwich. My goal now is to try every item on their menu at least once! Please give this beautiful place an honest chance! It will...

I recently visited Tasty Kabob on Mesa in El Paso for my first time trying Persian food, and it completely blew me away! From the moment we sat down, everything was clearly made from scratch with so much care and love.
For starters get the sampler, you can try 5 items for the price of 2! I enjoyed the eshi olives, the creamiest, most flavorful hummus, and hot, fresh pita. Perfect way to start the meal.
For the main course, I highly recommend ordering the "Tour of Persia." It's the best way to sample a little bit of everything — the beef and chicken were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with flavor and authenticity.
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, we finished with Persian ice cream and baklava for dessert — a superb and unforgettable finish. The ice cream was rich and fragrant, and the baklava was perfectly sweet and flaky.
Tasty Kabob made my first Persian food experience absolutely unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back — highly...
Read moreI cannot believe I have been in El Paso and have not tried this place out before! It is so delicious, the hummus is the best I've tried in El Paso and the pita bread was served nice and hot! They serve the hummus with greens (mint, Parsley, and coriander/cilantro) and a cube of feta cheese that was the best-tasting feta cheese I've ever had. The boneless chicken kabob lacked a little salt but was good and the Soltani came with beef koobideh and tenderloin. Guy Fieri visited this restaurant back in 2019 and recommended the beef koobideh and sure enough, I agree, that was my favorite protein. It is made out of ground beef but you don't get that ground beef texture because it's packed into a long mold. The rice is super fluffy and topped with saffron rice which makes the rice yellow. The Baklava was not the best I've had, it had a strong herbal taste that I wasn't too fond of. For 2 teas, 2 entrees, 1 app and 1 dessert it came out to $64.00. Enjoyed our dinner and recommend you...
