CALL BEFORE YOU GO!!! (although you'd be lucky if they answer) They have not updated hours of operation on their website, google, yelp, OR the handwritten sign they have posted on their front door (see pic)
On Dec 23 (Wednesday) my friend went to grab us some dinner. He called me from the shop at 6:56 pm to confirm with me what I wanted to order. Tiffany (the cashier) told him to hurry up because they were closing in 5 minutes. The sign said they closed at 9 along with the google search I had made earlier that day. Since they were closing, they were out of most of the items on the menu. I get it, holidays were upon us at the time and I'm sure the staff wanted to get out of there and spend some family time. I totally get it, but that does not make it OK to be rude. Customer service is a dying art. We try and support small businesses now more than ever due to this pandemic, but businesses like this one make it very difficult. To add to my disappointment, I reached out to the company via email and never heard back. I guess you lead by example and bad customer service/appreciation starts from the top. Such a shame to have to look for a new...
Read moreCame here for my first time today and will definitely be back. It's my understanding that they're the same owners as Baja California Fish Tacos In Lawndale and I love that place. Ensenada's has much better parking and the restaurant has better indoor seating and has outdoor seating. We arrived at about 6:00pm and a couple of tables were taken. I had a Baja Taco, a grilled fish taco and a potato taco. All three were excellent, however, the Baja Taco was the best. Served on a larger flour tortilla with a bigger serving of fish and shrimp this taco hits the spot. I had a taste of the ceviche as well. It was good, but nothing extraordinary. In my opinion, I'd stick to the tacos. The potato taco is deep fried and packed with flavor. There is a condiment bar with yellow peppers, pickled onions with Serrano peppers and lemons. There's a selection of sodas as well bottled beers available. A little after 6:30 as we were leaving there was a line to order and it looked like every table inside was occupied. Definitely a busy...
Read moreI moved to El Segundo from Redondo Beach , where they had the same restaurant ! I thought they where the same anyways because the name is the same . Unfortunately that’s where any similarity stops dead . I have tried to eat there now 4 times , each time the fish in the tacos was cold . This time in fact it tasted old or almost bad ! After the first couple times I gave them a break no ones perfect ! Can’t be special and fresh all the time right ! Well drove back to the Redondo one and I was wrong you can be perfect and fresh every time because the 6 years in REDONDO we ate there a lot! Super tough to get parking there is always a line but it’s all worth it ! Tacos where just as I remembered made with attention to detail super hot and made fresh pretty much right in front of you ! So fellow Locales from El Segundo , make the drive the difference is as bold as...
