Worth reading to understand this business operations before purchasing from them. Warning, they sell their bike over a hundred dollars over the manufacturer selling price! The worst communications over the phone. If you leave a message information they never called back. Call them, they put you on hold after 10 minutes, I just hung up. Recalled they just hang up, unfortunate reading other reviews here.I don't have to spell that out. But to move on with my review. I tried to haggo a price, he says, I'll give you $75.00 off unboxing, wont lower price of the bike which over price, he said I can't. Me needing to discussed with my wife, which bike we want, i requested him to email the information we spoke about. So I could present it to my wife, to discuss what we want to do because it would be our first ebike to purchase. Never received an email . Cole sales contract before the other salesman person, told Cole he setup my account on the computer, he never setup my account, it was setup with other owners, the guy read my information off. And will send the email right now, as I started out to head home, so inviting a story? But they're all nice, wolves and sheep's clothing, because in sending that email out, it would have showed and proven the overpricing for what they have their bikes going for. They sent me an email with a different price. That was a hundred dollars cheaper. I went online and realized why they didn't send me that original email. I only looked around pricing thinking. I'd do my business with a shop. I've already done business with the original owners which the sold business and new owner and taken over with the worst business etiquette. Pricing, customer communication. My review is painful because of the positive communication and pricing and being up front, from original owners. Now end up having to deal with new owners and reading other reviews, , I now found their reviews to be true! I sent an email over the weekend after I calmed down and spelled out the negativity, and maybe I'll come in, maybe not, I decided going through the reviews, wow! Maybe find a higher reviewed store that takes customer service, fast turn around, and fair pricing the norm then to please the person that writes a true review of total negativity experienced to remove or change the review. It's not my place, but it's up to you. To make a decision after reading all the Reviews to make a decision where to spend your money. They also didn't have parking, I parked a block...
Read moreTL:DR - The Electric Bikes LA team is awesome. Great Customer Service, Awesome and Clean shop with loads of selection. The only place in Los Angeles area that will work on the electrical part of your E-Bike. Absolutly do not pass up this place.
I called Electric Bikes LA trying to get my E-Bike fixed after it was broken by another bike shop during a simple tune-up. Hanzel, who answered the phone, was very friendly and even though they were gonna close shop in an hour he invited me to their shop to have my bike looked over.
When I arrived at the shop Hanzel came up to me and greeted immediately. Then he introduced me to the shop's bike tech Agustin.
Agustin was really friendly too. I had explained the situation to Agustin and he immediately looked over the bike and told me what had happened and also found other parts of the bike that needed fixing. After the diagnosis, I decided to leave the bike with him to get it repaired. At that time I also told him I was working with the manufacturer to get the bike repaired under the manufacturer's warranty. He said he would take it from here on to work with the manufacturer to get my bike repaired under warranty. That really took a lot of stress out of me!
Due to mistakes made on the manufacturer's part, I didnt get my bike back for 3 weeks after I dropped it off. During that time I would call once a week, and they were always friendly with me and never sounded annoyed.
So yesterday, I got my bike back and I came close to closing hour again. And again Hanzel greeted me with a hand wave while working with another customer. After he was done he called out Agustin to return my bike to me. Agustin, explained what he had done to the bike I test drove it and man it felt better than when I first bought it. And he even spent extra time answering additional questions.
All in all this place is awesome, they are super helpful, know what they are doing and they never leave you feeling like just another customer.
Thank you Hanzel, Craig, and Agustin for...
Read moreI took my bike to e-ryde for a tune up twice. The first time I called on Thursday and asked to make an appointment. They said they do walk-ins no appointments. So I went there and I was told that they can do a 1-day turnaround, with very limited exceptions a 2-day turnaround. I showed up at their location in El Segundo at 10:58 on friday July 12th. That same day I called at 5:30 asking if my bike would be ready before 6 they stated no and they would call me. On Saturday July 13th I called them around 2pm asking if it would be ready they said it had two bikes in front of it in the queue and to come at closing and it would be ready. I showed up at 5:30 and they stated they were sorry but they didn't get to it so I took it back and rode home. I firmly believe in second chances so I went back on Wednesday July 17th at 11:03am and told them bluntly I need a same day turn around they said we remember you we are so sorry yes absolutely come by anytime after 2pm and it will be ready. I returned at 5:30 and they hadn't completed the maintenance and stated just give us til 6:30. At 6:10 I was told it was completed and to pay. In their notes they stated they lubricated the said tightened bolts and check air pressure. My bike is a belt driven bike and lubricating the belt actually damages it. I checked my belt and sure enough it had lubricant on it. In addition the mechanic that worked on my bike loosened the bike hydraulic lines to the point where it began to leak on my on my way home and I had to stop and do emergency fixing on the side of the road. This cost me $150.00! Please don't take your bike here if you value its longevity or if you value your money. They don't value their customers time and the staff is very short tempered when you point out any issues. Even though propel is all the way in Long Beach I'll be taking my bike there to fix the damage...
