I want to start off by saying I absolutely LOVE Cava. However, every single time I go there, I have to go with the understanding that it comes at a price that is not monetary. The service here is terrible. The purpose of having prepped food on a line is for efficiency and convenience. The convenience makes the process efficient. Put food in the bowl and go to the next step. Easy right!? WRONG!! The first lady did an amazing job by putting the spinach and the rice in mine and my girlfriend's bowls. She then passes the bowl on to the next individual...A young lady with large piercing on upper lip and had the bill of her hat covering her entire face. This very individual looked at our plates, then proceeded to do absolutely nothing. And when I say nothing... I mean effing NOTHING!!! She was pacing back and forth like she was on something. No joke. In the meantime, my girlfriend noticed the young lady who did such a great job earlier was in the kitchen taking selfies....I managed to grab the young lady's attention, she glared at me as if I was bothering her...She asked me what i wanted, then after 5 minutes of staring at our sad bowls of spinach and rice, there was finally meat in our bowls. We then asked for our dressings on the side since we were taking it to go. She messed up both of our orders one after another. The manger, who was literally sweating because he was the only one working in there, rang up our order was absolutely clueless of the poor customer service that was being presented right before our eyes. After ringing us up, I expressed these things to the manager and turned out I was right....He was clueless. Poor guy. Doesn't get paid enough to manage such LAZY people. Never have I ever seen someone not care about their job that much. Bewildering experience to say the least. I'll still be going back though cuz i love yall but get your...
Read moreI've been captivated by Cava since my cousin introduced me to it a few months ago. It has become an easy lunchtime favorite. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes to get my food (to be fair, I typically go before the lunch rush). When the lunch rush hits, you will definitely see the line coming out the door. But don't be discouraged—stay the course. A healthy bowl of Mediterranean deliciousness awaits you.
If you're counting calories or tracking your macros, Cava makes it easy. It details what's in every dish and side order on printed menus and visible signage.
My go-to order is the Chicken + Right Rice bowl. It has a perfect blend of greens, protein, and other flavorful veggies to balance out the palate. However, I tried its new Steak Salad bowl the last time I was there. And it hit the spot. I grabbed the bowl, some pita chips, and a drink (...y'all, they have the good ice). Then, I drove a few minutes down the road to the beach to enjoy my food, soak in some Cali Sun, and tune out to the ocean waves. It was so pleasant.
Listen, long story short, if you want a quick, healthy food option, check out this Cava. Everyone working the line is great—they are patient and willing to explain the difference in menu items. With LV or Erin at the register, you're bagged up and paid within the blink of an eye. The entire team works to get you in and out in a jiffy and make sure you get exactly what you want!
And whatever you do, if you want to stick to your diet, DO NOT try the pita chips. They are the most addicting pita chips I've ever had. Aww, man, especially if you get a...
Read moreThe manager at this Cava Restaurant in Manhattan Beach was forceful with my order, and she was also quite curt in addition!!!!
I’ve come to this particular location at least 30 times to eat, and some of the employees and the management know me as a regular!
Though one other day, as well as today when I’ve ordered from this particular female manager, I’ve had challenges with her coming across rather curt, and also not wanting to give me a bit more of rice, and pushing me to order everything quicker today while I’m on the phone! So I just said to her today: “You’re not very nice!”, and I proceeded to walk away! I was on the other side of the restaurant talking on the phone with a friend, and the two perple that she was waiting on next were looking at me with smirks on their faces, and I said to them and the manager: “that’s my right!” They shook their heads in unison, sayin yes!
I’m not sure exactly what this manager’s issue is, though I have every right to express that I haven’t been treated with kindness, and to express my opinion about the service if I feel that I haven’t been treated adequately, if I truly feel that way, which I do!
This is the Cava Restaurant in Manhattan Beach on Pacific Coast Hwy. and Rosecrans Avenue where this occurred!
My name is Bob...
