Cook Out — Restaurant in Elizabeth City

You don't need employees like Trevin! Usually service is good across the board here at my local Cook Out, but today I was so upset at the way this individual treated me I felt it warranted one star. It all started as I was placing my order, that she interrupted me to ask about my sides while I was still telling her how I wanted my burger; so I stopped and started again from the beginning. She then reads my order back entirely wrong so I start again, then she interrupts me again asking me what sides I wanted. So I said, "I'm going to start again and hopefully you won't interrupt me this time", and placed my order. Silence. I waited a couple minutes and said to myself now she's not going to talk and drove around. When I get to the window, she opened it and mumbled something, I asked her how much, she responded, I gave her my card and asked for plenty of ketchup and she promptly handed me my card back with my tray and 4 ketchup packs; the window was open and I heard her say to another worker that was standing by "he's just being an ass". As she handed me my drink I asked for 4 more ketchup packs and she hands me 2 and shut the window. I just stared inside with my hand and the 2 packs hanging out my window and the second worker opens and asked if she could help me, I said yes I asked for 4 packs and she gave me 2. I pull around to a parking spot to eat; the food was good, as I sip on my drink, which I always ask for a huge sweet tea, I realized I'd been given an unsweetened and it was even on the receipt. So I got out of my car and walked up to the window so that I could get the drink I'd ordered. A woman who identified herself as the manager came to the window, she had just been at the workers station, I let her know that I had ordered a sweet tea and that she (as I pointed to the young worker) had been really ugly to me. Ordering and getting the food was fast. The food was okay. I got a milkshake because it was highly recommended, but it wasn't great. Like one you'd get from any fast food chain, very thin and not think and creamy like real ice cream milkshakes. Guess that's my fault for thinking they'd be similar from the recommendation. Also, it was difficult to hear the worker at the order box and they repeated everything I ordered in a different way so I wasn't sure if what they were repeating was what I had asked for. I get if I'm ording incorrectly to how they expect, but just explain that, don't act passive aggressive. Once I reached the window the employee ignored me and didn't even look at me. It was a very uncomfortable experience. The food wasn't bad, but it was a small portion, there were only 3 very small onion rings, so I'm not likely to return soon. Maybe the person who helped me was having a bad day, but that's still no reason for poor customer service and it really did make me not want to return to this location,...

First time at this cook out and my last time. I'm use to our cook outs at home have a place to eat inside or at least tables outside to eat on. Not a big fan of eating in my car. But I now understand why they don't have tables because if they did they would have to have restroom for there customers to use. Which explains why when we pulled into the parking lot there were two different car parked where people were standing beside them outside peeing . I ask the drive-throw worker as I was picking up my food if there was restroom for me to use.
