Firehouse Subs Elizabeth City — Restaurant in Elizabeth City

UDATED MARCH 8, 2024: Sadly, we have to change this Firehouse Subs' rating. Went there today for lunch while in Elizabeth City because it's always BEEN a favorite of ours. Today the food was off, considerably. Even the soft drinks weren't mixed properly and tasted like - NOT soft drinks. So, we gave up and tried the tea. It was barely more than cold water. But, hey, the staff was efficient and friendly! With its prices, rounding up, and a healthy tip, I doubt we'll be back. Not for a very long time.

First time to eat at Firehouse Subs. Came in at dinner time - looked like the store was fully staffed, but only one person available to take our order and she was on the phone with another customer about a catering order so we waited until employee was off the phone. Once we placed our order we waited on our food for about 5 minutes, which was reasonable. My husband liked his Spicy Cajun Chicken sub. I had the Brisket and Cheddar BBQ sub, which had too much sauce for me.

I will probably give them another try. My experience was good enough to give them a second chance, but there is work to be done. Can another employee step in to take orders if there is one on the phone? There were several other customers waiting to place and pick up their orders. These issues could easily be addressed with...

Love their smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket🤤seriously cant even bring myself to order anything different since I tried it😂 I never would have thought bbq sauce and mayonnaise could pair so well together 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also really love their app as it makes it easy to order ahead and even includes a place for special instructions, the only downside to me would be that it doesnt tell you on the app that if its over $25 you have to go to the register first and they have a small sign on the pick up area that mentions it but honestly I didnt pay any mind to what that paper said so when I had a larger order I stood around for awhile waiting thinking it would be on the rack at any moment and after about 10 minutes I finally asked just to find out I needed to sign for it at the...
