I understand that this is a non profit organization. I work with them every day for a living. I love the work that they are attempting to do for the community. Thus being said. We are from out of town and looked on Google to find something for my 4 year olds to do and we found this place.

The website said it was $5.35 for entry per child. Screen shots listed below.

We get there to the location and the woman at the desk tells us the price is 6.99 per child instead of the $5.35.

I proceeded to explain that the cost online is different from what she was telling me.

She told me there was nothing she could do and she could not honor what we saw. We had to pay the 6.99 per child.

I asked to speak to the manager when she arrived in to work.

Once the manager got in she discussed with the employee what was going on and that she was making the changes at the exact moment.

I walked up to the desk to show the manager the screen shots that I took from the various sites. The manager told me she was giving me a refund and that was supposed to be that.

To me it was not about the money. I want to see my children have a good time; and also I wanted to help and show them that the website and their Facebook was showing wrong prices. ( as stated before I do this for a living.)

The manager Courtney stated that I was being combative. I promise you I was not. I just wanted to help.

That being said I wish them well in...

Port Discover is a local gem! ✨ For just $6.99 + tax you get hours of hands-on, engaging fun AND you’re supporting a nonprofit that pours so much into our kids and community.

The flight simulator is always a hit, and Messy Monday is every creative kid’s dream (with none of the cleanup for parents!). The STEM classes, camps, and homeschool activities are fun, educational, and led by the most kind and accommodating staff.

We’re especially excited about the fresh energy brought by their amazing new Executive Director, Kortni, and of course our kids are obsessed with their friendly Crested Gecko, Mars!

This place is worth every penny and then some. Go check it out, you won’t regret it!

I have 3 kids, 6 y/o 4 y/o and 2 y/o…. And they are always entertained! I enjoy bringing all the kids for Saturdays mornings and being able to relax and know all the kids are able to play! We have a membership, and i highly recommend it. We normally just come Saturdays, since I work full time… but we have been to Messy Mondays and other events and it is PERFECT for all ages. They just finished remodeling and updating new toys and activities. And Kortni is so involved and always bringing new activities into Port Discover…. My kids will probably never get bored 😅 LOVE this place. And its so nice after Port Discover to walk and get coffee, check out the shops downtown and have the kids pick out a new book at...

I love that this small town has this huge gem of a place! Most small towns do not have indoor play areas or affordable ones at that. The membership is 100% worth it and is perfect for those rainy or cold days or just anytime us moms need a break! They’re always improving the look and adding new, fun, educational toys and activities! Please check this place out because it MUST stay. They are also a part of a program that allows members to get discounted tickets to places across the country!
