This was my first time in this restaurant and because i saw they have alot of business i thought that their food would be good. "Boy was I wrong" the picture below is what we got and it wasn't worth what we were charged at all. First of all they aren't welcoming to people of another race at all and they let you know it from how they treat you, which is very sad when you have a business. Our food was burnt, made very sloppy and the fries wasn't done all the way. When we came in we said hello the cashier acted like she didn't speak English so i let it slide so while we were reading the menu she just gives us a white notebook not telling us what it was ,it was like a here just read this kind of moment. At this point I was getting annoyed because we are helping your business out by coming here and your cashier treats customers who are different like a waste of time. People who ordered after us got their order before us and im not even talking about orders that were called in i mean orders that were walked in like us and then when we asked about the order they acted clueless and then said 5 minutes while everyone who came after us had already gotten their food and left. Then we get home and the food was just a mess and im shocked at all this reviews and pictures of beautiful food but i guest that was for those who was of the Spanish/Columbian race because what we got was nooooo...where near what everyone else got. If you're not Spanish don't waste your time because they will only take your money and treat you like they are doing you a favor by doing so.😡😡😡 Don't believe the hype of reviews, get your money's worth and treated...
Read morePlace looks nice and clean, although the tables were sticky. I ordered the signature “Cali burger” because a friend told me it was her favorite spot. Extremely disappointed... burger was structured to be good but it just didn’t taste good, not did it really taste like a burger. The patty was just awful. I’m a chubby guy and I was really hungry so I was ready to dig in but after two bites, I asked for a to-go box. I also got fries with cut beef hot dogs which tastes like regular fries and hot dogs, nothing special, but it wasn’t “bad,” not would I recommend or order it again. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie, which was alright, nothing special again. My total was 22 bucks and I honestly it was a complete waste of money. The dessert looked really good though, but then again, looks can be deceiving. If the food your restaurant is named after is a big let down, then I cant imagine anything else being that good, but then again I could be wrong. I really wanted to like this place but jeez get some fresh ingredients and better recipes. Chef seems to be doing his job well given the tools at his disposal. Damn, I really wished I could give this...
Read moreI came here one Wednesday afternoon. Suffice it to say I was very hungry and this was a highly anticipated lunch. I ordered the carne asada along with the chorizo. The portions were overwhelmingly small and I felt I had been robbed. I paid a total of $17 and received three extremely thin and small pieces of meat and one medium sized chorizo. I think they believed they could compensate the lack of meat on my plate with an arepa but I was not fooled. I finished everything on my plate, left hungry and nearly paid 20 dollars. I was very unsatisfied. I should also say that nothing on the menu seemed to be reasonably priced. I saw nothing below $9 and the portions of the meals served near my table seemed equally underwhelming. This may not seem like much at first read but when you compare these prices to nearby Colombian restaurants in Elizabeth where you can get high quality three course lunches for no more than $10, this place pales in comparison. I will not be going back here. Perhaps people enjoy this restaurant because of the late night hours during the weekend. I can’t possibly give a positive review. Two stars...
