Sabor y Arte — Restaurant in Elizabeth

The food is delicious but the service is awful. I've been here about 3 times and each time I go in to place an order the restaurant has 5 to 6 waitresses all in the same area but all of them ignore you unless you are a man. It is literally a pattern I have noticed. I go in, I say excuse me to a lady at the register, they make eye contact but keep moving and don't respond. I give it about another 3 to 5 minutes and a man will enter. As soon as the man enters they will wait to him hand and feet but they couldnt acknowledge a female customer who was standing right in front of their face to place an order. It's very unprofessional and rude for an employee to downright ignore a customer when they clearly see the customer there trying to get their attention. And it isn't a one time thing it's every time I go order. And to make matters even more interesting, after I finally placed the order, I left my husband in there to wait for it. As soon as I left 3 different waitresses walked up to him asking if he was already helped. They just dont want to take care of female customers. I know the reason they do that is because men will tend to tip at a higher rate due to the waitress's physical appearance and sweet talking, which they obviously won't speak to me like that because I am a woman. Anyway I’ll say what has been said before- the service was barely passable and food did not justify the price and certainly not the treatment. Something passing off as a cappuccino and a second cup of something more closely resembling cappuccino- both watery, cold platanos, cold arepas and pork belly, barely warmed, that felt like it had been left on the side of a griddle for too long. The hot chocolate and my mom’s eggs was their one saving grace if not for that I would’ve given them 1 ⭐️ A note on the service: Serving isn’t for everyone, the man was dismissive and didn’t do the best job of hiding his irritation at my mother and grandmother’s remarks on their coffee. The food was great. But the service was terrible. When seating at the table, the waitress told us she was going to clean the table and took a long time to do it, after we had to repeatedly ask her to do so. Then we asked for a booster seat for our son, the waitress came with it and smiling said to us, it’s dirty. She did not bother cleaning it, I had to clean it with my baby’s wipes. Then we got our food and did not get any utensils. We had to ask for napkins. We finished the night with all the empty bottles of all the drinks we had, on the table. The worst part was, when the waitress came to our table with the bill, garbage from another table and a sprayer to clean the table. She left us with the bill, the garbage and the sprayer. If the lady was new, somebody did not trabe her well. If she has been there for long, even worst. The food, as I said, was very good. But there are a lot of places with great food and much better...
