Denny's — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

My boyfriend and I came here on 04-08-2024 a bit after 11 pm. There was 1 server and 1 cook from the looks of it. The entire experience was absolutely outrageous. For starters, our server was behaving very weird and fidgeting around. She asked us for our drinks and she went and got them. Immediately after bringing the drinks she went to talk to a woman that was clearly not ordering or eating there at all and was cussing about how she wanted to leave. That wasn’t a huge deal as we thought maybe she was just having a bad night or something. Well, the server came to our table because we were ready to order and while my boyfriend was telling her his order the server was swaying back and forth and then looked at the door frantically stating she heard someone come in but my boyfriend and I looked at each other knowing very well no one walked in. It was very bizarre. Well to make matters even better, the server then gets on her cellphone and is bouncing around the whole restaurant talking on the phone and from what we heard she wanted to leave because “she had a rough night the night before.” Whatever that meant. She was cussing through the entire conversation. She ended her phone call after 5/7 minutes and went to the order window and began talking to the cook and while the server and cook were talking we heard the cook in the kitchen say very loudly and clearly that “it doesn’t matter if the food is good or not, I still get paid.” They ended that conversation in laughs. The server then got back on her phone, made another phone call dug in her purse then bolted to the bathroom. The cook hollered that our order was ready but the server was still in the bathroom. We waited for more than 10 minutes for her to come out and get our order. That was the very last straw for us. We ended up just leaving without even eating. I cannot believe this behavior and talk is tolerated. I would be mortified if I was a business owner and heard that my staff were running and behaving like this. Especially in front of customers. If there was a no star option that would be my take on this Denny’s. I will be calling to follow up on this matter because no one should be exposed to this disgusting...

We went to eat dinner at Denny's before here in,Elizabethtown Kentucky, and the food was good. But on March 31, 2018 we went to have Dinner there, the waitress was friendly, polite. She ask us for our order and Me and my husband order the Slow-cooked Pot Roast, well their was no vegetables at all with the slow-cooked Pot Roast, they had only lot's of Mushroom's and Onion's on it, it was supposed to have Celery and Carrots on it also. ""Slow-cooked pot roast, creamy mashed potatoes and herb-roasted carrots, celery, mushrooms and onions atop garlic toast and covered in rich gravy."' this is what was on the Menu

So My Husband sent both of them back , and he heard the waitress about the Vegetables not being on it, and who ever was the cook last night told the waitress ""that if They Do Not want it They can order something else"" , loud enough for my husband to hear him say that. So my husband told our waitress to please give us a menu again, well he order the Prim Rib Philly Melt on the menu , it had only 5 small pieces of meat that was burned so my husband did not eat it plus it needed more meat on there. I had the Country-Fried Steak now that was good , but the yellow Squash and the Zucchini was also burned. But your Breakfasts are good and so are the Skillets Dinners. On some of your Skillets Dinner you can leave out the Spinach in some and the Chorizo sausage in some , and let the customer's ask if they can have regular sausage or bacon in it . and on the Menu beside the Picture's "put No Salt " that would be very helpful to your Customer's. Your Supreme Skillet is really good ,but I ask for no Spinach in mine, but I do like Spinach but not in my Dinner . i also one other time when we ate there I order the Santa Fa Skillet and I ask can I substitute any meat in stead of the Chorizo sausage , and she told me no i did not order the Santa Fa Skillet. Plus who ever is in charge of the kitchen that night should tell their waitress if something has changed on the Menu, Explain to customer that the Slow-cook pot Roast has no Vegetables with it before they order it. I don't know who is in charge of the people that work here on the night shift but the people that are working here now are rude very rude I came through here about 6 months ago came in here at night and the food was amazing I don't know what happened to the gentleman that was working in the kitchen at night but they cannot cook like he can. The servers are rude, the cooks are rude, and pretty much management is rude. I will never come back to this Denny's ever again. I will go to the one in Louisville if need be, the rest assured I will never come back to this one. There are cockroaches in the dining room and I'm sure if they're in the dining room they're in the kitchen as well the bathrooms are filthy they stink. The summit right up it doesn't look like anybody on the night shift does any work they sit around on their phones they gossip about other people and they do it where myself and other customers can hear it I find that quite disrespectful and I'm quite appalled that management would allow this to happen. I would like to know who the owner is so that I can contact him directly and tell him what I think. And if I could have gave no stars I wouldn't have give this place not even one star. Because frankly this place don't deserve one star if you're traveling and you decide to stop by the Denny's I would highly recommend you think twice about it. I'm over it!! I hope the place burns down.
