Babe's Lounge — Restaurant in Elk Grove

This place is like a dive bar meets a house party, and if you do ever find the way in, DON'T RUIN THE VIBE!

The music is loud (played through a PA system in the corner), most of the drinks come in plastic cups, and the walls are adorned with dollar bills. The pour is heavy and the noise is up there, but this place has charm.

There's a couple of pool tables in the back, with a nice little outdoor patio area where people smoke and hang out.

I saw people of every sort here; white, black, hispanic, asian and more; old and young. The age definitely skewed middle aged, and the young people (read: under 25) seemed a bit... uncertain at first. But the vibe of this place is a chill house party where everyone is welcome as long as you don't cause trouble.

Management. This lounge is ran very respectful and by good people. I’ve been going there for a number of years and could say there’s no better bar in all of Elk Grove. I don't normally review bars as I don't drink but wanted to give a shout out to Babe's. The owners are fantastic, super friendly, and very accommodating and thankful for patronage. They have a HUGE whiskey selection. Trivia night on Wednesday is fun also. Very low key place with a nice patio out back, heaters, and an outside bar.
