Tule Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Elk Grove

I have never seen such a spectacular failure of basic service. I was the 4th person in line but it took absurdly long, yet the customers ahead of me got their drinks in seconds while the rest of us stood there like statues. Why? Because their system was apparently “broken” and the cashier had no clue how to handle it. He kept wandering off for minutes at a time, then returned only to fumble through each order for another five minutes one order after another.

I’ve worked in the service industry and understand that this stuff happens and know not to approach these guys aggressively. When I respectively spoke up, the cashier was flat out dismissive, rude, and disrespectful—the kind of attitude you’d expect from someone who couldn’t care less about the people keeping the lights on. Moments later, a second employee jumped in and—surprise!—the line suddenly moved at normal speed. That proves the problem isn’t technology; it’s utterly inadequate training and zero accountability.

I paid premium prices expecting a premium experience. Instead, I wasted nearly half an hour watching chaos disguised as customer service. I was here earlier this week and the exact same circus played out. One fiasco might be bad luck; two in a row is a systemic breakdown. Management, wake up: this level of incompetence is beyond unacceptable. Fix your staff, fix your system, or stop charging luxury prices for bargain...

I hardly ever leave reviews but I absolutely adore this place!!

Super aesthetic coffee shop with tons of places to sit indoors and outdoors. Saw tons of people working from there or sitting down to enjoy a chat and some good weather.

The coffee was exceptional, and without exaggeration the turkey panini I ordered was the best one I’ve ever had in my life. I am beyond impressed as I usually don’t expect much when it comes to food at coffee shops.

I would go back just for the panini, fresh ingredients and the panini bread was incredible.

Customer service was also unreal, I made a mistake when ordering my panini and was just going to order another one for myself and pay for it. They were so nice about it and made me a few one without charging me a second time though I insisted.

Super happy to see beautiful coffee shops like this one pop up in Elk Grove where we mostly have Starbucks and Peet’s. Excited to frequent this coffee shop regularly and support a wonderful small business in our town.

Straight 10/10 for everything, highly recommend everyone to give it a try and cannot...

Went at about 11:40 on a Sunday and was expecting busy. It was busy with the line 1 party out the door, but they also seemed understaffed for what is a predictable weekend rush. It took us 20 minutes to get 2 drinks with no food attached to our order after waiting in line for 10. Seating was okay, people who arrived after us were standing waiting for people to leave. The inside is minimalistic with vines plants hanging in the rafters, pretty. We took the coffee to go and it was tasty and on the stronger side. Parking was also limited in the lot at this time, we parked across the street which is no big deal to us but may be to someone with injuries or limited mobility. I can imagine why people rate 5 stars, but I don’t really recommend it...
