'"Children keep food on tables and bottoms in seats or you will be asked to leave"
This was what was on a sign that made the news. Management said this was geared towards rowdy teenagers and other parents claimed that they 'felt uncomfortable' eating there with their small children after they had seen this sign.
Really? Any decent parent shouldn't have an issue here. Small kids will act like small kids do. Things get spilled, they will get upset at times, etc. You aren't going to be asked to leave in 99% of these cases. The problem is the other 1%. It's not with all small kids.. it's the 'parents' of some of these kids that they are with. When you see kids running around and making a mess..it's typically because the 'parent' that brought them is too busy looking at their phone. If a kid is deliberately making a mess or wants to run around the restaurant - its time to go. Instead, the parents ignore the situation as they have more important facebook updates to look at. If these parents are so fixated on their phones when out to eat.. (sadly) you can can bet it's not all that different at home. Is it any surprise that those kids are running wild? This isn't an Arby's issue.. this is what is happening in society.
As for the 'teens' that Management had said this sign was for.. I've encountered these large groups of teens when dining there. They typically show up after school and are loud and obnoxious. No parents - no rules. Each of them trying to talk louder than the person next to them - at the same time - each on their individual soapbox. It's probably no different than when we got together with our teenage friends back in the day. I've never seen a Manager or anyone come out to try and quiet these groups down or ask them to take the party somewhere else.
What was said on the sign is an unsaid expectation at most establishments. It's sad that things got to a point where someone felt the need to post this sign.
Anyway, as for the Arby's.. the food is decent and I've never had an issue with any of the staff. Cleanliness is something that could improve as I don't think I've ever sat in a booth that didn't have food lodged in the area where the seat meets...
Read moreFood was good.... The blonde lady taking the orders was a little too consumed with answering your text messages and sending texts over taking orders promptly and efficiently. The brunette lady getting our order ready did more work then the lady that took our order because she was on her cell phone the whole time we were at the drive-up window except for giving us our change and our pops at the same time the rest of the time she spent on her phone now I know why we waited for a hot minute for her to take our order it was very apparent her phone was much more important than the customers. Employees should not have their cell phones on them. I thought it was just a problem for children and teenagers it's apparently not!!! The food was good because of the other...
Read moreI grab lunch for the guys few times a week and when I'm in the area, will go to this Arby's over just about every where else. When it comes to fast food there's only a handful of things that make a place stand above the frey. Are they quick? Are they friendly? Are they correct with orders and if not, how do they handle it?
This place gets all the right checkmarks. The one occasion I was missing something from my order, upon going back they gave it to me no questions as well as a coupon for bucks off. In this casw theyd recongnized an item was left over from fulfillment so I guess expected they'd have someone come asking. That said, they were courteous and respectful and to me, that's worth it's...
