I haven't been to a walk up DQ since we last visited Minnesota. What a nice throw back to years gone by.
This particular DQ has hot food on one side and cold on the other. In the middle of the two with a portico covering it is seating and a few tables. The side with hot food had closed and the cold side was still open. We pulled up and got in line for ice cream. Just like Minnesota it is only open during the summer months.
I thoroughly enjoy and like DQ ice cream. I think that they make the best strawberry milkshakes ever. My husband and daughter wanted a twist but they were out of chocolate ice cream so they ended up getting a vanilla cone. My son got a hot fudge sundae. He said it was the best one he ever had. My daughter and I stopped here on a road trip from Reno to SLC. First, it took forever. Seemed there were a number of people working, but the service was super slow. Second, we wanted two blizzards and an order of fries. We had to order from two separate windows. Ice cream on one side and food on the other. AmExp accepted on the ice cream side but not on the food side. Strange and inconvenient setup. Third......WORST BLIZZARDS EVER!!
