J&J Pho Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Elkton

I have been waiting a very long time to try this place! Pho is one of my absolute favorite meals and I just didn't want to be disappointed. I drive past it almost every day and despite the awful area, this place is extremely nice! I made sure to take pictures of everything to let everyone know how great it was. I looked at reviews first, read things like not enough staff and broth was watered down. I did notice that the young man who took my order was training and very accommodating for him being a little slow with the order. So they are listening to your complaints. As for the menus, I added pictures. Prices are very reasonable. I spent $14 dollars on a huge bowl of rare steak pho and 2 shrimp summer rolls. Neither of which I was able to finish in one setting. I got my food to go, which I am beyond grateful of how they prepare to go items. Other places just throw everything in a box and give you a jug of broth to go with it. Then you are stuck finding your own bowl big enough to use to make it yourself. This wasn't the case here at all! They gave me a huge bowl with all the warm ingredients in it and then a bag of things like sprouts, basil, jalapeno and lime. They mixed the sweet and hot sauce in one container which was an amazing idea! All in all, I am extremely pleased with this place! For the comment on the watered down broth, I do feel the broth was a tad under seasoned, but I can't say that it ruined the meal. I feel like it worked perfectly, so that way you can season it yourself better, with all the things they give you with it. Either way, I absolutely will get it again! 5 stars is an understatement. The food is very authentic, flavorful and well-balanced. The service is incredible. You will not find better service anywhere. The owner is unbelievably cordial, friendly and accommodating. He remembers all of his regular customers, their taste preferences and their orders. He pays attention to detail, body language, and internalizes how he can make your experience the best one possible. He has the air of someone who was, and very well may currently be, an incredible bartender, a bartender of the highest caliber even. This is just speculation on my part, but a former bartender like myself easily recognizes a good bartender when he sees one in front of him, at the very least someone who has all the makings of an incredible bartender, and could easily become one of the best. This man cares very genuinely for his patrons, and is all around a very good natured person. I also noticed that their bar setup was done correctly, which is rare to see these days. I will have to order a cocktail to see for myself on my next visit. But I am almost 100% sure this man can make an excellent drink. I very much look forward to...

Ever since the sign first went up I was extremely curious! I pass it everyday back and forth to work and it’s the turn towards my dads house. I will admit living in Delaware and having a pho spot we go to several times a month I was nervous to try this new place. As we walked in it was an empty house Saturday evening around 6:30pm, second thing I noticed was how clean it was and smelled super clean! All the bottles and salt and pepper shakers where super clean! Can you tell I’m ocd..... We ordered our meals I got my usual pho tai everything came out the bean sprouts jalapeños etc. the aroma of the broth was very good you could smell the “fat”. Once I put my pho together I tasted it and yes it is satisfying! In an area where it is very hard to find good pho I will definitely be going back! My husband had the broken rice beef plate. He said the flavor was good but the quality of the meat was not. He did leave a pile of half chewed beef. I appreciate the cleanliness and the service. I will recommend...
