Brand new Mexican restaurant that just opened off the Ellijay Square in Ellijay Georgia. We wanted to try the new Mexican restaurant to see if it’s still tough against our favorite Mexican restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised with how clean and Beautiful the outside of the building was. The parking lot is a little small and so is the inside of the restaurant but that’s OK because it’s a quaint little Mexican restaurant with big taste and great margaritas. The inside is very clean and well decorated. I had The speedy lunch special which was a taco or beef burrito and rice for 499. My wife had the chicken chimichanga and you can tell by the pictures how much food you get. The margaritas are made fresh every day and my wife is quite the expert when it comes to margaritas on the rocks and she was very pleased with the taste. If you come to Ellijay I highly recommend this stop for lunch or dinner. The price is right the location is right and the food is excellent.

We dined there 4 years ago and it was great. We were happy to see they expanded. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. We started with a watermelon margarita and a blood orange. They were good, watermelon was our favorite. Our appetizer was guacamole Oaxaca. This was very good. All ingredients were super fresh and it makes a difference. Entrees were Lupes and Carnitas. The Lupes dish was amazing. Everything was very well seasoned and the chicken breast was tender and not dry at all. The Carnitas was delicious as well. The pork was seasoned perfectly. Super moist and just melted apart. Salsa Verde was yummy. Tangy but not sour. The charro beans were really good as well. Smoky, salty and good on the rice. I asked for salt to be brought to the table but never needed it. Again, they really know how to season. Everyone was friendly. We had a new server but she did very well. Best Mexican I've ever had. Will be back.

The wifey and I picked this lunch spot after apple picking in October on a Saturday, after walking around the "downtown" Ellijay area and finding out that every eatery in the square had a long wait. The location of this place is good, a couple of blocks away from the square, which meant it was not as crowded. They had outside seating and all the servers wore masks, so we felt comfortable eating here. Good marks for precaution. As for the food, the provide complimentary chips and salsa, which were fine, and their lunch specials menu was a great value. I ordered the Mexibowl with steak, and unfortunately it tasted very bland. There were no sauces on it and it tasted of the collection of the ingredients. Nothing stood out in particular. The wifey got a different platter and she loved hers. I can't say the same thing for my experience. I would return to this eatery. It's a good value, uncrowded while being busy.

First off, let me start off this review by saying that yes I would visit here again. But ONLY if I am not starving and have hours to kill. We arrived around 5pm and were sat down right away but it took about 10-15 mins to take our drink order and another 10 mins or so to get them. Then it took about 30 mins to come back to take our food order. We were a party of 11 and it took about an hour or so to get our food out. Half of the plates were lukewarm the other half were a little warmer. The food was really good so it makes up for it but the problem is the nationwide shortage we are seeing in restaurants everywhere due to a lack of workers. Also their salsa for the chips was OK but when I asked for chips and salsa to go I got a completely different salsa that was delicious! So def interesting but yes I would go again. I do hope they are able to get more help. It was a Sunday night and they were packed and I saw about 2-3 servers working and one of the servers/ mine was also...
