Legends — Restaurant in Ellsworth

Tried this place a few weeks after it opened, and it was very good. The roast beef was nice and rare, the roll fresh. The cheesesteak was full of peppers and onions and had a nice beef on it. This time, my roast beef was not rare at all, almost like they cooked it, and the roll was like a week old dry flaking mess. A north shore roast beef (like they claim to make) is ALWAYS RARE. The cheesesteak was also a disappointment, with hardly any peppers and onions, or mushrooms, which we paid extra for. And the meat was a weird consistency, almost like it was frozen steak-ums meat. I don’t know if I am willing to give it another chance, that’s how bad it was. The food in Ellsworth never fails to disappoint. I was hoping this place would break that mold, as it did the first time I visited.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the restaurant to offer me a replacement meal to give them another chance. Very nice to see that kind of customer service these days! I took them up on their offer, and I was glad I did! Roast beef sandwich was huge with nice rare roast beef, the buffalo wings were excellent, and the salt and vinegar fries were very good too, although I personally like a little more vinegar. All in all, an excellent meal. I will be returning here again soon to try some more things off...

Just finished eating about 40 minutes ago.

Staff seems nice. Pretty friendly. $38 for 2 people. Told me it's be ready in 10 minutes. I found odd cuz we ordered a decent amount of food. I'm pretty sure the burger patty was a frozen patty. No seasoning. Which if it is, fine. But for it to be a frozen patty & i gotta pay extra for some fries?.....The bacon on the burger was good. Fries were fine but nothing to run home about. The meat on the French beef sandwhich is mystery meat and bland. No flavor to the au jui...the pizza rolls were alright. Gotta eat them straight off the fire cuz they not as good cooled. We were on our way to the airport and did a quick google map search for “fast food”. Loved that this local restaurant showed up in the results. We pulled in on a Sunday at 2pm, were greeted warmly and they recommended their roast beef. I got the number 1. My husband got a different roast beef sandwich. Both came out within 10 minutes, the food was hot and delicious. The chef and the lady taking our order were very friendly and you could tell enjoyed working there, providing great food and visiting with customers.
