Most McDonalds are pretty terrible and I am aware that this one has made some mistakes however one of the managers/supervisors that work here is freaking great. I have seen him at the Machias one before and at this one he has such great customer service skills and very great at communicating. I will never forgot that this one time I ordered a McFlurry or something at the drive threw (This could of been the Machias one but either way the manager is here now) and they were very slow for some reason. It took awhile for me to get it but he said hey sorry about the wait we are running a little behind. I said no worries just do what you have to. He came back later with my McFlurry and he said my apologies on the wait but I am not charging you because of how polite you are. He gave me my McFlurry and a second free of charge. Wicked nice guy. I hope him the best luck no matter where he goes. I remember seeing him with a unpleasant conversation with an other customer who was very rude and he handled it so well and was mega polite to his customer. That is a true leader I tell ya. Read moreMany fast food restaurants, McDonald's in the lead, have variable customer service. Attitudes, slow working, or a combination of those can sour your experience. But this location was NOT like that! The staff were the kindest, friendliest people who genuinely seemed to love being there, even as early in the morning at it was. And the experience was made all the better for it! The food was amazing and tasty, including having looks that almost seem like they stepped off the menu board, they looked that good! The dining area was astonishingly clean and really presentable, unlike many others we've visited. Every facet of this store should make it a leader in the McDonald's industry, since it seemed like the flagship store! Just cannot tell you any more that this was brilliant and deserves to get tons of business! Kudos to the management staff for being cheery and supportive of their workers, especially the woman supervisor working the front this morning! Nary a complaint about the food, save missing bagels, but alas, not their fault!...
Read moreat the beginning of june i wanted to use my (new to me) mcdonalds app, went thru the drive thru and completed my order. I instantly get a message that shows that they debited my debit card, I had been having trouble with my debit card prior to that and I asked the man at the window to please cancel my order and i was willing to pay in cash, even though it meant i wasnt getting the deals you get when you utilize the mcdonalds app. the man at the window said "we cannot delete a transaction", and i stated very strongly that i disagreed. There is no way a large corporation such as Mcdonalds doesnt have a way to cancel an order once it has been placed. He said it several times and told me in order to dispute the transaction I had to call headquarters...so long story short, i have called at least 20 times, emailed them at least 10 times and have had no response or resolution, the manager or owner of Ellsworth McDonalds will not contact me to resolve the matter.
