I used to really love this place, always had great food and maybe today was just a bad day. I ordered my food over the phone, for pickup. The cashier told me it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I arrived, about 20 minutes after placing my order, so I expected a bit of a wait for my food, not a problem. I ended up having to wait an extra 15 minutes which normally would not bother me, but someone had walked in, sat down and was served within 10 minutes of being there. I asked one of the workers if my food was about to be ready, as I had to get back to work, I think the server realized I had witnessed the other person being served, while I had already been waiting for my food for 30+ minutes. The kitchen definitely looked backed up, which I understand, but witnessing someone walk in and sit down and be served within 10 minutes of being there, after I had been waiting for 30 minutes already was a bit frustrating. However, the staff is very friendly and I tipped because they are so kind there. I then went back to work to eat my food, which unfortunately wasn’t very good at all. I ordered the veggie ramen with seasoned eggs. The main thing I could stomach were the eggs, everything else in the dish tasted like chemicals and like it hadn’t been washed. I unfortunately am not able to finish my dish, which is unlike me because I love this place, but the overwhelming flavor of the unwashed vegetables is...

Decent food, amazing staff and comfy environment. We stopped in for lunch and were immediately greeted by welcoming staff to a table. We got the Tonkotsu Black Rich Ramen, the Premium Tonkotsu Combo as well as the Truffle Ono sushi as our appetizer.

We liked the ramen as the portion of our meats were really thick and it came with an egg. I was slightly disappointed in the soup as it was not as flavorful as I thought it was going to be, nevertheless the soup was very brothy: not too much sodium and not flavor overload. You just taste the meats flavor that was used to make the soup. The ramen’s seemed like they were more on the healthier side of ramen. I can’t justify the price of the ramen since other restaurants have more meat and more flavorful soup for roughly around the same price. As for the appetizer, we were highly impressed by the craft of the sushi. The sushi also tasted super smooth and had lots of flavor. Highly recommend the Truffle Ono.

We received amazing service throughout our time here and the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive to us. We ordered drinks: an iced tea and lemonade and were offered free refills for these drinks. You should have no problem with any...

My family and I have been to Kan Ya several times in the last 2 years and placed this as our #1 suburban ramen restaurant. The variety of ingredients flavor attention to detail, extra time and care and presentation has meant everything to us as a family and sharing with our friends. 2 weeks ago we had the worst No flavor vegetable fried rice and when we reached for soy sauce it was the Low sodium and did not have Any flavor either, the least you could do is offer the regular soy sauce too at the table to give the Rice some joy. It use to be my favorite appetizer and we'd take extra to go, but no more. Then when our Ramen bowls we served, the broth had No flavor at all, so we were stuck with a large bowl of ingredients and nothing to drink them with. The soy sauce was horrible, so we ended up using the entire jar of mild spices offered at the table to season the food. I would normally give a 4 or 5 star rating, but I just can't. How can you serve such a beautiful table of food without flavors or seasoning? cost us just under $100 and won't happen again until this restaurant gets back to it's quality of cooking from 2017-19 and make their prices are more reasonable. Show less Date of...

I visited this ramen spot with a friend, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. We both ordered the soup ramen and a cucumber salad. We arrived around 1 PM but didn’t receive our food until 1:40 PM. The total bill came to about $45, which felt steep for what we got. The cucumber salad was underwhelming—just sliced cucumber on lettuce with soy sauce and vinegar. If that’s standard, I wasn’t impressed. The ramen itself lacked flavor and tasted like plain noodles and water. The noodles weren’t even proper ramen but thin spaghetti. The vegetables were fine and cooked well, but the broth was bland and unappetizing. While they provide soy garlic sauce and chili oil, it didn’t salvage the dish. On Google, it shows that they serve vegetarian dishes, but it’s definitely not worth it. Overall, we left disappointed after eating just a bit. Not worth the price, wait, or experience.
