Tannins Wine Bar & Boutique — Restaurant in Elmhurst

When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted or looked at. We felt ignored. It wasn't until I asked the only nice girl with curly hair asked if we could sit down that we were attended. Then everything was bad service after that. An older girl with green hair said "Jesus Christ" when she looked at my ID picture and said we have to make sure we leave at 7:30 due to a reservation which I understand completely, but as someone who works in customer service, there are nice ways of approaching people. Next, our drinks were 90% ice & it wasn't even full to the top. So bad, I saw them treating entering customers bad as well. The vibe here was terrible 🥱🥱 the one star is for the sweet girl who kept getting yelled at by the girl...

Tannins is by far the best place to grab a drink in Elmhurst. The beer & wine selection is amazing and they also make a mean cocktail.

I recently rented it out for my wives 40th birthday party and it was perfect. They did the food themselves and it was a great set up with a table in the back for the food and desserts. We had 40 guests and it was plenty of room for us, and they allowed us to have a musician play music for us as well. The owners are great and very easy to work with.

I highly recommend Tannins for a party or just a great place to grab a drink...

We had a lovely time at Tannins Wine Bar. The wine selection was fantastic (in the bottled area) and the appetizers were yummy. It's a great place to hang with a small ground of friends.

My only (small) suggestion is to have a more varied tasting menu by the glass with a few more unique selections beyond California. I would have liked to try more wines while I was there, but ended up with a bottle selection becuase the by-the-glass selections weren't anything too special. 2-3 special selections that I can get by the glass would be much...
