Kostas Pizza — Restaurant in Emerald Isle

Our DoorDash experience was so disappointing. We previously had great service from here. We ordered a pizza and salad. In the salad bag the silverware had been opened and it was just a napkin and salt and pepper. No utensils. We ordered a $7.50 piece of cheesecake we didn’t receive. The pizza had so many “bubbles” on the top it was not even appetizing. I called the store and the girl who answered said that they opened the silverware for someone else and that one must have been put in our bag and that they would call DoorDash to see what could happen for us. We visited Emerald Isle last year and found this pizza place (then called No Name Pizza). When returning this year, we wanted to go back because it was that good! We were glad to learn it’s the same owners and similar menu, but under a new brand. A few things are no longer on the menu, but there’s still plenty to choose from. We had “The Islander” pizza with shrimp, bacon, ham, and pineapple. It was delicious and the crust is perfectly crispy. We ordered at the counter and had a large, hot made-to-order pizza in about 10 minutes for about $26 with paper products for our group. We got a pizza after our swim in the ocean. We were hungry and we went in this place to get water. However, we saw the menu and noticed that they had gluten free pizza. My daughter is gluten intolerant so we were happy to see that so we ordered a ham, onion and pineapple gluten free pizza. We were very pleased to say the least. We liked that it had clean picnic tables. It was a really small place but like a gem in the ocean it was. We loved the thick crust and the toppings. It was phenomenal.
