New Mexican restaurant and bar on Bay Street, upstairs where California Pizza Kitchen used to be. It's a beautiful and well curated space. I went with my laptop, posted at the bar. Ivan was the Bartender on duty, he hooked me up with De Flores Margarita and second round of the Paloma; both were delicious and refreshing. I ordered the Quesadilla de Hongos … came with two pieces of quesadilla stuffed with roasted and well marinated mushrooms and bell peppers. The space itself feels specious and open (versus crammed, tight). They have large TV screens by the bar, the Warriors' game was on when I was there. Menu appears to cater to most pallets, though none of us will know for sure until we try it. It's all subjective to the experience. It's worth giving this place a try at least once to make your own determination. Do ask for recommendations, substitutions. I wish they had the nachos on their menu. They had brought variety of nacho platters for the Bay Street residents earlier this week as an introduction to the community. They brought one platter of vegetarian nachos, one with chicken, and one with pork. They were delicious. I think they would make a great addition for those who want to snack on something as a appetizer or happy-hour. Great start overall for this establishment. I pray they get the foot-traffic and maintain momentum. Thank you to Ivan, for your care and hospitality throughout my visit. To new beginnings, fortune, and much...

While the food was good and atmosphere inviting, the service left a lot to be desired.

Food was decent (chilaquiles was my personal favorite), but they would not allow any protein accommodations — my halal dining partner could not substitute any pork with a beef or chicken alternative, so something to keep in mind.

The atmosphere is bright and really sells the vibe of warm Mexican cuisine.

We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday (most of the dining room was empty following the brunch rush, but still plenty of servers and a few other tables). While the staff was friendly, they missed the mark on adequate service. Our two meals were brought out 10 minutes apart, and despite ordering coffee and reminding the waiter once both meals were finally brought, the coffee never came.

At the end of the meal, we told the waiter to not worry about the coffee as the meal was over and we had wanted it earlier, and the waiter protested — he told us he had put a pot on just for us and it would go wasted if we didn’t take it. We reminded him that we were ready to leave and had asked for it at the beginning of the meal. It was frankly — and surprisingly — unprofessional, particularly the bartering that he continued well after we had confirmed that the coffee hadn’t yet arrived and we were ready to leave.

Overall, it was good food, but not good enough to put up with the lackluster service and extremely rigid menu for a casual...

The atmosphere is very lovely. The service was attentive.

However, the food is way over priced. I understand finer cuts of meat and better quality vegetables are more so the customer pays for quality. The food was barely edible though. Also, I am not sure if they are keeping proper kitchen safety protocols because my husband and I got sick (I would say specifically not changing the oils they fry in.) I have been ill like this before and typically it is known to happen from reusing old cooking oil. My kids didn't but they refused to eat their food and only ate the chips. The chips were probably the best part of the meal.

The cocktails look fun but the drinks seem watered down. It was over $200- for a family of four, (two children). The kids refuse to eat which I know kids can be picky but this time I am glad they didn't because my husband and I got ill.

Way, way over priced for the food

Would recommend for a drink at the bar and some chips. Wouldn't venture past that unless you don't mind wasting money 💰💰💰.

Good for a quick meeting or a quick drink before a movie.

The design is beautiful too bad the food is not good and will make you ill. I hate to write things like this because the staff was so nice. It is an honest...

For starters I work in the mall, I’ve tried majority of everything her food wise and today I chose Flores for a quick bite. Upon walking in there’s a “self-service” check out station readily available. I asked a gentleman that just so happened to walk out of the mall discount for employees could be input on the self serve station and he said no so of course I ordered through him. Very stand-offish customer service and it seemed like neither one of the individuals that were there today wanted to work. Either way I ordered a “Carnita’s Bowl” I paid extra for sour cream and cheese but let me show you what I got instead. Attached below is a picture of the meal I received. A large block like shape of mean and barely any of the toppings I paid EXTRA for. The way I see it is simple, $21 for a bowl should come with all the extras you paid for ontop of great customer service and no shortage on the portions provided. For Christ’s sake this is not Chipotle and I was better of going there instead. Very unappealing to the eye and I’m sure I won’t be returning. If you happen to come to Bay Street please explore the other food options before choosing Flores. (No shade intended)

My boyfriend, his parents and I went on a Sunday around 2:30pm. There was no wait time, and we were seated immediately. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered fish tacos, carne asada bowls, and a chicken Adobo bowl, as well as platanos, guacamole, and the street corn. The food was brought out surprisingly fast, but it was very fresh and cooked well. The only thing I wasn't blown away by was the street corn, it was lacking a lot flavor. The portions were large and filling, so sadly there was no room for dessert. The atmosphere of the place was great, very inviting decor and comfortable seating. This place was definitely better than most in the area. Simple, yet elevated.
