I wish I could give this a higher grading but unfortunately after what I overheard the other day I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I was looking around for some candy for the movies when a group of teens came in. The so called “manager” on duty there, I think his name was Kai?? Anyways he was talking to his associate and mentioned how they needed to keep an eye on them for stealing. He did a stage whisper which meant myself and maybe even the teens overheard him. It’s important to note these were kids of color who were walking around checking out some of the like freeze dried candy and maybe some of the other stuff I couldn’t remember. Wandered by here on my way to a movie at the AMC emery bay, and was pleasantly surprised by the great attitudes of the staff, (how can you not be happy working daily in a multi colored pace, covered in hello kitties, and happy bunny stickers, designed to bring joy to children and adults alike?) I was well on my way to putting on adult airs, AND FEELING RESPONSIBLE AND MATURE, when I discovered BULK GENUINE LEMONHEADS SOLD BY THE POUND, at which point I started JUMPING AND HOLLERING WITH JOY. Suffice it to say, I did't sleep much that night and the roof of my mouth was raw from Lemonhead overdose, If you feel the need to time travel to a simpler and kinder world and time, here is the portal to your best childhood memories. A really fun spot to grab some candy (especially before watching a movie) and check out their other novelty gifts, which there's plenty of. Even if you don't intend to buy something, it's a nice store to browse. Even a little later in the night after the film; They seem to be open that late, unlike other locations on Bay Street, so it's definitely worth checking out if you want to do something else when everything else is closed. Plus, the staff are really helpful and friendly! Overall, a really fun atmosphere with so much sugary treats...
