Went to this place for my first time after receiving a coupon for a free lunch from the Post Community Credit Union next door. They give you that coupon if you open a new account.
Well, the cash lady at Scholtzsky's wasn't sure how to process my coupon. So, she got someone (manager?) from the kitchen to help her. The lady didn't look happy and seemed rushed. She showed the cash lady how to process the coupon and then said -"He still has to pay the tax." So, the cash lady said - "Oh. He still has to pay the tax?" So, the other lady looked at me and said "Ya. YOU have to pay the tax! We ain't payin' the government!" Pretty rude and unprofessional behavior if you ask me.
Then, when the rude lady came out with my food, she supposedly didn't see the number on my table and passed right by us. So my partner raised my number and she came back. She put the sandwich on our table and just said something like - "There you go." So, I felt as though I was getting substandard service for using a coupon.
Needless to say, I will not be going back there...
Read moreI had really wanted to have a schlotzsky's while I was out on my vacation and I don't have one near me and this is a two-hour drive from home. I get to the restaurant and there are signs saying that they are closed due to staffing I went around to the drive-thru and there was another sign that I could not read because of the rain and wind so I pulled up to the window and there are at least three employees standing right there in the kitchen. I mean I could be wrong but when they open the window to talk to me the employee said again that she is sorry but they are closed due to staffing. How many people are required to run a sandwich shop is all I could think as I drove away disappointed. This in no way is a review about schlotzsky's as a company because the reason I was so disappointed was because just how bad I really wanted a delicious schlotzsky's sandwich. Hopefully the owner or manager of this location will see this review and at least confirm there's nothing hinky going on...
Read moreI give the Schlotzky's on 20th Street in Battle Creek 4 stars.
The Schlotzky's on B Dr N in Battle Creek gets 1 star. I went in this evening and ask for a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup and a bowl of chili. They didn't have either of those items. I asked the female employee if she could please call the other Schlotzky's and ask if they had those items before I made the 15 minute drive over to them. The employee told me that I could call them. Then I asked for the phone number and she told me I could google it.
I'm not upset because they didn't have the items I asked for. I'm upset over the lack of hospitality and respect for a customer. I live much closer to the B Dr Schlotzky's, but I'm probably not going to frequent that restaurant anymore. This isn't the 1st time, I've been disappointed with the service at this location.
I would give the 20th St location 5 stars if they had a drive through. So far the service and food has always been 5...
