I went to get the Pulled Pork Sandwich meal for a late lunch and the Pulled Pork is definitely tender and very easy to chew. I like how it's served plain so you can add your own Choice of Regular or Spicy BBQ sauce. I got the Baked Beans and fries for my sides but wished I would of got Double Beans because when my order finally came after waiting about 15 minutes they were warm at best and almost tasted kind of old with some of them being real crunchy and others just right. I could tell though that if they were hot fresh out the Fryer they would be delicious so if ordering fries make sure to request fresh or no salt. The sandwich was super delicious but at the same time wasn't as warm as I would of liked. The Beans though were definitely warm and they were tied for first with the Pulled Pork Sandwich in the taste department. Will I go back, Definitely, but when I do I'm getting Double Beans and maybe a slice of cheese for my sandwich or a pickle slice.I would of liked it to be a little better lit inside and maybe have the food brought out hotter. It seemed more exspensive too because I use to only pay 10 something for the same meal but mine came up to 13.29 but I paid 18 to include the tip since the waitresses was only working by herself and busy. This place is very tasty though and still never dissapoints for...

THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE! I think it's important to give positive and negative feedback when it's due and in the case the negative feedback is very much warranted. Three of us all ordered different meals and the consensus was the same. The meat was warm at best, bread was a thin slice of white bread and small side. The brisket seemed more like roast beef that had been warmed up in the microwave. The turkey and sausage where as bad as it gets almost t the point of it being hard to describe. The sausage seemed over cooked and like it had been sitting under heating lamps for hours while the turkey didn't look or taste like any smoked or roasted turkey I've ever had. The cheese potatoes looked like a hash Browns with macaroni cheese powder on top, that again had been sitting under heat lamps for too long. The baked beans were good but the portion was much too small. The service was good overall, but we all go to barbecue restaurants for the food first. I will not be going back to this...

Dear owner, Our food was amazing but the menu did not have correct pricing and your prices almost doubled on a pound of brisket. The watriss did not say anything to us until the check came or explain why things have gone up so much. The other places in town have said they have to let us know before ordering that the price has gone up..... Maybe take note and explain to your customers this before they order such large quantities of meats to go off of your menu. And the wait staff was very scattered they did not keep drinks filled did not being things when they were requested and kept making small excuses when they came with out side items once this changes I could give a much better rating but until then it just is not going to happen sorry we ordered quite a bit of food tonight and overall the taste is one of the top 5 in emporia I give you that but the price is so much more than anywhere else here that's just sad that price gouging is still happening in...

Hadn't been in here in over 5 years. My kids and I enjoyed it. For a small town it was pretty good BBQ. I had burnt ends and pulled pork sandwich with fries which was $9 and my son had pulled pork and brisket sandwich with fries for $9. I had to order a full chicken strip meal for my 7yo daughter bc they didn't have it on the kids the menu and that was $7 and it came with 2 strips and fries. We also ordered the carrot cake cheese cake for $5. I should mention that they carry Pepsi products but you can get iced tea free with the sandwiches.

The dry-rub on the ribs was excellent and the meat fell off the bone like it should. The sausage had just the right amount of spiciness. The brisket was tender, with good flavor, and the kaiser bun it was served on was very fresh (which, for some reason, was a little bit of a surprise). When we got there, around 4:30, there was just on server in the whole place but she juggled things very well. Three more people showed up shortly after.
