I have come to this PANERA bread for more than 1 year and it is becoming worse as every day passes. I cannot speak about the entire staff, but there are some of the female that are super rude and give you an attitude with their expressions. Coffee was not brewed today but some of the customers were being served coffee from behind the store to accommodate them and be able to quickly get out. I asked for the same courtesy since I had ordered my coffee and yogurt first (like 15 Minutes before) I was greeted with an employee that I know she was sick and couldn’t speak because of it but that gave me a bad attitude with her face telling me “”I’m brewing it Right now” I Asked for my money back because it is the right thing to do since im a loyal customer. They refused to bring the manager out since I know it is a male. I was not screaming even though the people gang up on me to defend her but they had not seen what attitude she gave me when I asked for the same courtesy they had with the other customer. They want you to keep quiet even when they are not providing the best of customer service. I’m sorry for the other employees that have been so nice to me this couple of years back. Never coming back because of this disorganization in this PANERA, I have gotten sick because of an egg frittata, and I still kept of coming back. I have treated all the staff with respect, I tip them, and I always teach my children to say please and thank you. I was the first one to complaint about rude customers but today I was told that I was the one out of line, maybe, I was but this was my reaction of this attitude given to me by this employee that gave me a horrible expression and attitude that was not needed when I asked for the same courtesy that other customers had been given. Yes it is only coffee but it is important that business scrutinize the kind of employees they hire. A customer came to her defense saying that she was working hard but the way this PANERA is getting seems that just a few employees actually work hard. I work around 12 hours a day as well, I guess I’m not worthy to this employee to be accomodated like the other customers were. Still the 2 female workers that I saw their names on the tags but I won’t mention here kept on laughing because the customers were looking at me bad and the employees Sarcastically laughing said have a good day ma’am of course I will have a good day I have health I have my family so of course I will be having a good day unfortunately they won’t have a good day . There’s one guy who usually brings food to the tables who is a sweet heart and super polite and there’s a guy In the kitchen area who prepares food who is very professional and also super sweet and polite. But there are a handful of incredibly rude employees. If there wasn’t the handful of nice employees, I would never go back just based on the people who work there. I went in for coffee and a breakfast sandwich one morning. One employee was standing behind the counter with a backpack on and watching her phone and ignored me standing there (ok fine, maybe her start time didn’t begin right then, idk). Then a second employee noticed me standing there and basically rolled his eyes that he had to take my order, like I was hassle to him. He did not smile or greet me, and he left his ear buds hanging on his ears basically listening to his music like he was not even working. He handed me a cup for coffee and looked off to the side like I was annoying him (again) for not taking the cup fast enough. At this point I figured I’d tip him and maybe make his day a tad better...nope! He didn’t even smile or say thank you. He looked so incredibly annoyed that it was uncomfortable. Another time, the employee at the register had just hung up the phone with a customer and she proceeded to tell me how annoying the person was and how stupid the person was for whatever he was complaining about.
