Wonderfully located Dive motel. Motel has a 7-11 adjacent to property which is convenient since the 7-11appears to be a hip place to hang out and meet the locals and sample the many items they have for sale. The People who run motel and patronize it are nice and not nosy as long as you keep to yourself and cause no issues. I found it was best to act like I had blinders on and not make eye contact. Rooms are cavernous and have all the amenities such as cable tv with television set, running water, mattress, toilet(with t.p.) towels, soap, linen, a window and the proper doors that you would expect in any motel room. All of which are conveniently included in the nightly room price. I enjoyed the vibe the room put off and how it forced me into reminiscing about motels I had visited in the 70's with my family as a child. Well those fond thoughts flooded back into my consciousness uncontrollably and made me miss the smell of the color brown. They don't have rooms by the hour which is a travesty but maybe soon(fingers crossed)it will be a revenue stream the owners will chose to partake in. Then it will be a Lucky U and lucky me who will truly benefit from what this motel has to offer. For this reason I had no choice but to give them 3...
Read moreNot a bargain even at 54 dollars a night. I don't know if it was just my room or that's the way all the rooms were, but these are easily the most abysmal of conditions I have ever had the displeasure of residing in. I decided to stay here because it had the highest Google rating in the area. What I should have done was investigated the reviews a tad further to realize they are from fake accounts, and have asked to see the room first, but alas I was exhausted from hours of interstate travel. If you absolutely must stay here, I'd advise you come prepared with your own towels (the "clean" towels had tons of hair in them!), trash bags, and a sheet to throw over the bed. Also don't expect any of the drawers to actually work. Mine were all broken in some way, the bed was itchy and smelly, the shower gunk calls for flip-flops (don't even think about a bath), and the carpet, which likely had never been vacuumed, was garnished with some unknown textile. I wasn't able to walk barefoot. Seriously, for what is offered, these people should not be charging more than 34, especially considering all the nearby places that only charge 10 dollars more for infinitely better conditions. Do...
Read moreI have ventured to all the small scaled motels on South Broadway with my girlfriend (Luck U; Holiday and 4U motel) I was at Lucky U for the first time the other night in room 207 I did think that it was a bit pricey for the area itself but its only about $10 more than the other ones nearby but its WORTH IT
The lady at the front desk was very friendly; polite and made us feel very comfortable.
We kind of expected the rooms to be in same condition as Holiday and 4U but it was 200% better than the others.
It was very clean; the towels were put out very professionally and adequate toiletries were there for our stay
We only saw one individual working in the rooms but he was working extremely hard. He obviously has a strong work ethic to handle all those rooms by himself. That's the type of person a motel needs to have on staff.
There werent any bugs; it was quiet environment and highly recommended It's apparent that the staff is on top of their game and do an excellent job maintaining the rooms. If your in the area; stay a Lucky U; you'll get value...
