Updating my review: I really try to be positive with reviews but after my last to visits and orders of Chili I had to update this review for "food". Last month I ordered a sub and bowl of chili.....the chili was TERRIBLE! I chaulked that up to maybe a bad day for the store/staff and decided not to leave a bad review. This afternoon I again ordered a sub with the Chili and once again (for the 2nd time) the Chili was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! First, I ordered a bowl but the bowl was barely half way full....not even really a cup. Second, it looked just like moosh.....like a bad cup of black baby food....no meat, no beans...just thick, dried moosh. Third, when I tasted a small bite, I immediately had to spit it out. It tasted as if it had been scraped out of the very bottom of the pot and it had been burned terribly bad. Twice now in the last 6 weeks I've had to throw out the Chili I ordered and paid for. Management....your lacking terribly with freshness of the Chili you are selling and it should not at any time sit on the heat to the point of burning, only to then be served to your customers. I just couldn't let it pass this time and had to change my review. My Sub was good but sad to say that my days of Firehouse Chili are done. My advise to anyone that orders take-out Chili to please take a look at it BEFORE you leave the store to make sure it's fresh and your getting what you...
Read moreI eat at firehouse all the time. I enjoy the food and the helpfulness of the staff. It is all to frequent that the owner of this location is there working behind the counter. And on more than one occasion while I was there, his management style can be observed in full swing. Although I don't understand his approach to his staff at times, it is not not my business how he runs the store nor is it any of my business how his employees remain employees. Today I go in for lunch and nothing remarkable happens until I leave. I request a sandwich box to take the unfinished portion of my sandwich back to work for later and I am told I cannot have a sandwich box because I didn't order a meatball sub. Now I know that many people take their sandwiches home and even with the best condition present, when you revisit a firehouse sub later in the day, it tends to be a soggy difficult sandwich to eat. Now imagine it poorly wrapped in a small square of sandwich paper and in a paper bag. The policies under this location are almost to much. I will not return personally. I will not give this location below 3 stars based on one individual because the crew always do...
Read moreI am a VERY picky eater, especially when it comes to sandwiches, since you can usually make those yourself at home and have full control… My go to here at Firehouse Subs has ALWAYS been a club on a sub, but I’m not a fan of the side pickle spears anywhere, and I prefer honey mustard over deli mustard!!! It’s an odd substitution, I know, but you’ll love it if you try it. Any other fast food place I go to disregards my modifications entirely, and I end up picking things off myself. I decided to order through the app one day, which is set up WONDERFULLY btw (very user friendly!) and was a little nervous I was still going to have the deli mustard on my sandwich. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff was extremely kind, directing me to the rack of online orders and making sure I had all my chips and drinks before I left. When I checked the sandwich, there was no pickle on the side, no deli mustard on the sandwich, and honey mustard instead of deli mustard. Firehouse, y’all have a (slightly picky)...
