This place is so delicious! I eat here every time I make a trip to Vegas. They have really good value happy hour deals. Happy hour is from 11 PM to closing time. If you are unable to make it to happy hour, don't worry cause they have very reasonable prices for the quality and taste of their food. Kevin, the owner, is so nice and friendly. He used to be a chief at Nobu. The staff are all great. Bathrooms are clean.
What we ordered (out of order): A5 Japanese Wagyu--The minimum order is 2 oz. Truffle Marrow Filet with Foie Gras--BOMB Beef Kushi--These are beef skewers. They also have chicken skewers and shrimp skewers. Black Cod Butter Lettuce Wrap--Each wrap can be finished in one or two bites. Black cod is my favorite out of the butter lettuce wraps. Fried Rice--Use the rice to soak up all the oil/juices/flavor from the truffle marrow filet with foie gras to take it to another level of goodness. Rock Shrimp--Has a strong citrus flavor mixed with creaminess. Tiramisu with Hojicha Ice Cream--Probably the second best tiramisu I've ever had (The best tiramisu I've ever had was when I went to Italy.). Beef Taco--It's a small taco. Salmon Taco--It's a small taco. The salmon is raw. Salmon Sashimi--Served in a plate of sauce. Ask for wasabi. They give you real, fresh wasabi. Raw Oysters--Each oyster is served with sauce in the shell. Oysters are fresh. Soft Shell Crab--I like the flavor. It has a nice crispy crunch. Scallop Sashimi--Thinly sliced scallops served in a plate of sauce. I think it's the same sauce that the salmon sashimi has. Truffle Oil Edamame--Check in on Yelp to get this for FREE! Gyoza--Pan fried gyoza. Ikezo Yuzu Sake Jelly Shot--Basically a yuzu sake with aloe vera jelly. Cold Sake--I think it was called Mio but I'm not sure. It was a clear color. It was slightly sweet and very smooth.
Definitely go try this...
Read moreI've been here three times and the food has just gone downhill from since it first opened. Once it was great but now I think the chef quit and left the kitchen to the McDonald's fry seasoner. Everything on the menu was over salted. I know this is Asian Fusion but I don't think you should fuse salt with everything. Bone marrow= salty. Salmon sashimi= salty. Fish collar= salty. Oyster= salty. Giant size prawn= super salty. I guess they thought you should eat these things like in their natural habitat so they cooked them in sea water. They once used to essence everything with truffle oil. Now I think they bought the cheap truffle salt and assumed the same amount in the recipe would equal the same taste as before. The bone marrow tastes nothing like truffle. Only salt. The giant half prawn was super over seasoned. We couldn't finish most of our food. The pictures you see aren't the before pictures. It's what we had left on the table before leaving.
To make matters worse, the place reeks like a sewer when you walk through the door. Like the septic tank clogged up in the back and they haven't plunged it. Fresh air outside the front door, sewer drain inside the front door. I didn't ask what the issue with the smell was. The problem is, I was here two years ago and they also had that smell. I assumed it was a one time issue so I thought nothing of it. Just a fluke. But now it appears it's a permanent fixture. Or perhaps it's the Hessaire swamp cooler near the front door that's causing the smell. I don't think you should be running an evaporative cooler indoors. It causes humidity and mold after awhile. Luckily the human nose gets used to the smell pretty quickly so you don't even notice you're eating next to the sewer grate.
An eight person meal for $1000. We won't...
Read moreOn 6/6/22 at 9pm my husband and I went to Japaneiro for late dinner. I canât say how the food was because I threw away the to go appetizers from them. While Zack- (younger Asian server last night) already ruined my first experience from the first âconversationâ I tried while my husband was outside making work phone call. I still ordered 2 appetizers and a beer for myself. Shortly after while we were looking at the menu I noticed something moving by my foot. Initially I hoped it was some dried leaf that followed me in. I stared at it for couple of seconds and saw that it was actually a full 2 finger sized cockroach!!!! We seated ourself at the corner of the restaurant in front of their bar area. I saw the cockroach crawl underneath the fridge. Disgusted by it, we rushed to get up and asked for our check- and Zack stopped us saying the food is getting ready. After telling him quietly about the cockroach his response was âitâs been hot and we keep the front door openâ. I was so dumbfounded by this server and didnât want to waste my time talking about it anymore. What kind of restaurant server responses to customer so casually as if this happens all the time. At the moment we said to just to go the items but I decided to throw it out since to Japaneiros employees it seems like a common occurrence for cockroaches to appear. Who knows how many are crawling in their kitchen. I attached a receipt from them for FYI. Also my husband stayed to pay for the bill and questioned why there was a tip already on the bill and zack said itâs âpay palâ. He seems to have no clue what pay pal really is and since when did any restaurants put âpay palâ fee on the receipt?
Google doesnât allow 0 stars, which is the only reason I am stuck to give...
