Since covid late night food spots have died. One mcdonalds(ew) open 24/7 on 12th and sas, Sheetz, and THIS PLACE are the only places open near or past 1am . Small cramped kitchen. Terrible/barely any parking. But boy oh boy that small kitchen is the cleanest on the block. The food is marvelous I mean seriously from basics like Philly cheese steak, salad, chicken sandwitchs, to chicken/beef/lamb gyros, naan, chaat, and biryani. And the price is amazing order for 2 ends up around 25 to 35 bucks depending on how fat/full you want to be... (side story I went at 3am one time and this lady locked her keys in the car and someone was going to help her but tear the door paint up in the process if you know you know. I jumped in to helped with a medical bag/equipment I used the arm cuff for blood pressure to separate the door/windows and push the lock, as the police showed up asking question rightfully so, she had access to her documents now so wasnt that big of an issue still searched her car anyway lol. took a bit of time for this all and when I went inside the guy would NOT let me get my food. Insisted that it was cold and soggy and I was NOT ALLOWED to have it. He was holding it in his hands not like he sold it to someone else but I dont like wasting food so it wasn't a factor for me. Between the language barrier and his face I was not going to get yelled at again so I accepted the new sub and put a bill in the tip jar. Not super professional but definitely super caring/thoughtful) (alot of drug activities tho so keep kids away or in sight, lock ya car/keep things hidden, and do not give cash offer food or something to drink if you...
Read moreThis is the cleanest, most organized version of the speed check stores. You can actually buy fresh produce, and deli meat!! Sometimes the stock has not been properly rotated, so I personally have run into groceries that go bad as soon as they get home, but the parade street store rarely has this issue! The speed check on east 6th is extremely guilty of expired products and ever-changing prices sometimes daily on the same item. One cashier charges 1.75 for some candy, another on the next shift charges 3.75. though the gambling machines at the entrance are off-putting, the staff is so reassuring you forget about any bad vibes. My only real complaint is the parking, and almost dangerous way some people drive. There is no room to efficiently line up for gas. Overall,...
Read moreProbably the best Indian food I have had in Erie, I wish there was more menu options! The samosa chaat was mouth watering and had the perfect amount of spice to it. I also had the their butter chicken, it was little bit oily, but tasted amazing. They gave me a huge portion of rice to eat alongside it as well. This place is also cheaper than most Indian restaurants i’ve been to in Erie. The location isn’t in the best place, but don’t judge a book by its cover. I recommend ordering pickup since the food is fresh, it can take 30 minutes to...
