I came here with an engagement ring that was originally purchased in Indianapolis. I decided on Boyle because it is close to my work place and the reviews were so positive. Unfortunately I did not have the positive experience that others seem to have here. I needed my engagement ring resized and the woman that helped me was older and wore a lot of jewelry. She handed me a key chain with tons of rings and said “here choose which one fits best”. My ring was a 7 and I chose a 6 off the ring key chain how woman was not helpful whatsoever in helping me size my ring finger appropriately. I was out of there in less than 3 minutes. As someone who doesn’t wear jewelry ever I was expecting a little help in sizing my finger instead of “here pick one that fits” When I picked up the ring a week later it was waY too loose and now I still have to wear a rubber ring sizer on my engagement ring. I did not raise a fuss when I picked up the ring because the store was busy as it was a Saturday. I called later that week and spoke to the same unhelpful woman that allowed me to pick a too big size in the first place. I was expecting her to say I’m sorry please bring in the ring so we can size it correctly but instead I was told I would be charged “a fee” of an unknown amount. The woman did not seem to have a care in the world about helping me get my engagement ring sized correctly. I felt that she was uninterested perhaps because the ring was not purchased at the store. Be careful with this jewelry store, I took my wife’s wedding and engagement band to have them set together. The engagement ring is a four princess cut individually set, I was told that they would have to sonic clean them before doing the work. The person did instruct me that a diamond may fall out, however I was told that they would have there jeweler fix it. I was told the rings would be ready in an hour and to wait for a phone call. I received the phone call approximately an hour later, I was told the rings were ready. However the person I spoke to stated that one of the diamonds had fallen out. I was then told that the jeweler won’t be able to look at it until Monday, and that he would give them a quote. I then asked if I would be responsible to pair for the repairs, I was then told yes. Me and my wife decided to go pick the rings up, the lady didn’t charge for the work we had done which was nice, however we went to a jeweler that was right down the road. The jeweler stated that with my wife’s rings and the way they are cut, that they never should have been placed in a super sonic cleaner. He also then stated that they should have covered the damages. I received a phone call from the second jeweler stating there was sever damage done to the setting metal on my wife’s ring. Which now I have to send to another jeweler because the second jeweler was upfront and honest, stating he would not do anything else to damage my wife’s rings. Please be ver carful with this place, we had her diamonds check less then two weeks ago. Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Boyle Jewelers. My husband and I were in need of repair on our wedding set of 26 years. While hesitantly entertaining the thought of HAVING to purchase a new set of rings we opted to try one more jeweler and went to Boyle Jewelers. After being greeted by Katina we were sure we had found the place we were supposed to be. After listening to our story and a few questions later, Katina understood our desire to continue wearing our original set of rings that we started our lives together with and explained everything about our repair needs (pros and cons) with sincerity, honesty and professionalism. We opted to have the repairs done and they were completed ahead of schedule in their on-site repair department and are amazing. Our wedding set was sized up for both of us and my engagement ring repaired.
