Coffee is okay, food is okay, the location and atmosphere outside is INCREDIBLE, however, the service was not great. I didn’t realize I was looking at an entirely different Coffee on the Rocks and showed the girl (pinkish hair; septum ring) at the register the drink I wanted since I didn’t see it on the menu. And my bad entirely for looking at a different menu in a different state. She let me know politely that I was looking at a different coffee shop. But then another girl saw that she was trying to help me create a drink similar to the one I showed to at least help me get what I wanted but the second girl (blonde maybe early 20s) was so rude and condescending and basically wanted to argue and hold up the line saying that the other place has no connection to their location and they don’t even have the same flavors. Which I was already aware of when I was speaking to the girl at the register. I was fine with that. But the blonde made it into a huge thing and was even looking me up and down like she was in disgust. I don’t really appreciate being talked down to, especially after I already understood the situation and it was being handled. She might need some extra help with her customer service skills… will not be back just because of...
Read moreA serene getaway located at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National park coffee on the rocks is great place for a caffeine pick me up, a snack or light lunch in a relaxing atmosphere.
The coffee comes in a few great roasts that feature deep and robust flavor. The food is tasty especially given the limited cooking equipment. The staff sometimes seems stressed. But the vibes outside the coffee shop are the best.
This shop sits right near a creek and also a pond full of ducks that you can feed. Our kids love buying a cup of corn for a dollar and feeding the ducks whole mom and dad sit on a bench and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Soaking in the splendor of the unique area before we are interrupted by the constant interruptions of young children.
If I somehow didn’t procreate three times and have to spend most of my waking moments chasing children… I would come here with a book. I would sit on a bench. I would drink some nice coffee. I would relax in the sunlight listening to the sounds of the fast moving creek.
So if you don’t have kids please come here and live out my Coffee on the Rocks fantasy.

Read moreExpensive. Coffee wasn't amazing. The food was lame. They didn't have most of the ingredients to make anything, and didn't care. My wife and I both couldn't get the bread that our sandwiches came with because they were out. I got a BLT and they didn't tell me they were out of lettuce. Just made it without it and talked about how they were out and it wasn't worth telling me when they thought I was outside. Terrible service. They had 4 or more young girls all goofing around and not really working. They were literally sitting on the equipment and eating and drinking behind the counter, the last restaurant I managed that was considered a health code violation. Our order took over 20 minutes for something I can put together in 10 from scratch at home by myself and they weren't even busy. The lake is nice and seems like a great place for kids to play and feed the geese and ducks. With good management, this place could be a really amazing place. Sad to see such a nice place have so little care for its customers...
