I will never attend this place again! We got two passes for the go karts. My nieces are under 10 years old and they couldn't reach the pedals to ride on their own so we purchased the go karts for passenger. We get in line and hand our passes to the employee, in a rude way he hands back my card and says you cannot use the passenger go karts, he said those are for special need kids. Tells me go find something else to ride there's nothing I can do, you cannot ride these, and walked away. If that was the case that was absolutely fine if those are for special needs kids. It was just the way he handled it was extremely rude. So I went in and asked the lady behind the counter she was extremely nice and apologized for it and said no that is not the case I will get my manager. You can drive your nieces as long as they are 10 years or younger which they are. She kept apologizing for that other kid that was rude. So the owner Gary comes out walks up to us and says what's up, what do you need? I couldn't believe the owner talks to his customers like that, just from him talking shows how he don't care how his employees treat his customers. I explained the situation to Gary and he said so what do you want me to do about it? Tells us we are going to have to deal with it and walks away. I was just so amazed that the owner was talking like this. This explains why his Park was completely dead. Maybe Gary needs to reevaluate himself on how he treats his customers and maybe he will have a packed park. I will never take or spend one penny at this pathetic most rude place ever again! Gary also kept saying if a kid can't drive there special needs. Gary needs to go back and look up what special needs means, clearly does not know the difference from a kid that is not of age yet and cannot reach the pedals yet from...
Read moreThe kids had a blast. We bought 4 wristbands and the other adults spent a lot of money for point cards so the little kids had drivers n stuff. That wasn’t the issue, the issue was when we got to the trampoline ride. I was going to jump first to show my kiddo and my little cousins, it wasn’t scary. I was within the weight limit, but the guide told me I wasn’t. Made me prove myself on the scale. But by the point I was no longer interested in jumping. So we all just skipped it. Which is too bad cause once the kids all saw me do it they would of had a blast taking a turn.
The whole point of buying a wrist band for myself was cause I was the only adult who fit all the requirements for all the rides and young enough to keep up with the kids.
we got to enjoy all the other rides with no hassle. No complaints there.
I get that the mechanics of the jump have a weight limit for a good reason. But I would find a more polite way with dealing with the weight limit. Not just say “NO you can’t ride it’s against the rules. “ Then have me read the line where you think I’m too fat. When you don’t even know for sure how much someone weighs. I get I was wearing the free baggy shirt I got with the wrist band , which probably made me look rounder but just say “hey we need to confirm weight for all riders before getting on “ Then go from there.
I’m not even that big of a girl, so I could only assume how awful someone bigger then me would of felt. It’s 2019, let’s not fat shame people. I hope me getting on the scale to show you how wrong you were humbled you a bit, so you could be more sensitive the next time.
Edit from 3 stars to 4 stars cause I’m not going to let one employee take away all the...
Read moreSoooooo disappointed in this place our family has been enjoying for many summers. After the go karts being shut down for rain and hail, we requested a refund while spending even more money the next day at Fun City AND bringing friends back to enjoy, as well. The owner/mgmt (?) actually accused us of SCAMMING Fun City out of $20-30 after spending hundreds over the last days and years there. Unbelievable! While pulling in at the end of the go kart ride, we heard one of them call my husband a “dumbass” for trying to scam them!
To make the situation even worse, the reason we couldn’t wait the 10-15 minutes they thought it would take (other than our friends arriving) is because we didn’t want our high special needs child to have a hard time. We tried to explain this to the mgmt but they couldn’t have cared less.
We did come back that evening ten minutes before close to squeeze in one more ride and introduce our friends to our favorite place (and spent more money - bank statement proven), and because we didn’t request the refund within that short timeframe, we were accused of scamming them. It’s one thing to refuse a refund, and another entirely to accuse someone of malice and poor character.
We are not in need for $20-30 extra bucks and certainly not the kind of people who try to SCAM others out of any kind of money. An outing is something that does not come easily to our family, but the mgmt/owners of Fun City made it exponentially worse with the way...
