I can’t say enough about this shop!!!! My boyfriend and I traveled to Estes Park in October 2019. We meet John when we walked in to get my John some snow pants. We struck up a conversation with John about things to see in RMNP and around town. He told us of a place down Highway 7 that was a good possibility to see a moose, he was right, we got to see a young bull. This shop and the people of Estes made such an impression on us we had to return to get married. We spent last week in town and any last minutes things we were missing or forgot, we would run in the store to buy some Columbia jackets, stickers for my car, a crossbody bag for my sister-in-law, we even rented crampons and trex poles. This time we also got to meet Chris who is also a manager. I walked in today to get some pants, expecting to get in and out quickly. Instead, we ended up talking to one of the sales associates, Ryan, who was absolutely wonderful. I don’t always leave reviews, but I felt like his helpfulness should be recognized. My brother and I were in from Mississippi and trying to figure out which hike to do. Given park closures and having a dog, we were limited on trails, but he took several minutes to point out different places on the map we could go to, giving us his recommendations and so much extra helpful advice. Store has alot to offer overall but wanted to give a shout out to Steve (I believe) who helped us upon entry. He was knowledgeable regarding the different types of traction devices and helped us get some rentals to try. He went above and beyond to share details about the park, as well as some current feedback he had on the trail conditions.
